Probaly there are fewer couples like what you say. It' s so hard to meet someone for the first time and fall in love with him/her. For me, I nearly impossible to love and marry one for the first sight, I believe love should be tested by time.

People going on a tv show and having major interviews with experts who will find them spouses. Kind of weird. They pick three or four couples to get married. The couples know nothing at all about each other, but they are planning a real wedding.

The name of that program should be called- "How much money am I making?"

What dope would go on a program, and get married? Answer- to make money. They could care less about the other person. What gets me, is the airheads that actually watch that mess. Bet they all live for drama in their lives.

I don't watch tv.

Meh... I might do it... for a very large sum of cash.
And, as long as, it can be annulled the next day.

I have seen that show but not on a regular basis. He would have to be a really good match for me to marry at first site. But that could Work.

Half of marriages end in divorce statistics say anyway. I am sure most of them were not married at first site.

Not seen the show. Here in the UK. Couples intending to marry must give a minimum of 28 days notice to the registry office where the legal ceremony takes place, so a similar show would be impossible here. It takes the same time before a Civil Partnership ceremony can take place. May be a Friend with Benefits non legally binding ceremony deal would work? laugh

I would do it for enough money but it would depend on their choice of man.

Do you get to sleep with him first? laugh

I've never seen the show Cat. It reminds me of arranged marriages though. The divorce rate is actually lower in arranged marriages than marriages based on love and choice.

I'm not sure if I would do it, but given my history of unsuccessful romantic relationships and marrying for love, if the conditions were favorable, I might consider it. I knew a couple where the arranged marriage actually grew into a very loving strong relationship, they were from a different culture that practiced arranged marriages.

The love and respect that grows between two people working together for a common purpose could very well be stronger than when people join for romantic reasons. There's no pressure to "prove" your love or do romantic things because you're together for different reasons.... If it shows up later, it's more natural and has the potential of being much more intense because of the foundation already formed.

I think it would be difficult, especially for those who are romantics at heart, like me... you might struggle in the beginning because there's no lovey dovey stuff that other couples get to experience. There's also the problem that if you were to develop romantic feelings with the one your with and it doesn't happen for the other, the relationship could begin to suffer.

It's a risk either way!
