You wouldnt call North Korea a pure communist country sir ?
Definition:
a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.

I would not consider North Korea a pure communist society. It does allow a few people to receive some benefit outside of the state - there are some black markets. Also it does not distribute to the people based on their needs since much of the earnings the country has are spent for their military while part of the population doers not have the basics. It is basically a dictatorship held within a family structure by force and for the benefit of the family and government officials.

Point taken . I would conquer

I tell you who *I* hate "supporting"..
Those people who have kids and get that "Earned Income Credit" every year..
Big deal, you had kids...so, the govenrment will give you money back on your tax return.

Well, obviously you haven't actually gone through the EIC worksheets, or know how it's figured. There's a very good reason why the IRS says to let them figure the tax. It's exceptionally confusing to figure out, but it can be done. I have done it several times, successfully.

I can assure you, there is no pot of gold that comes with it. Most of the time it covers taxes owed, and some of the social security payment. Money is still owed. They might get a little better refund, from the monies paid in from withholding. Actual government money going out to those who qualify-no.

Letting the IRS figure it, is smarter. Make a mistake in the calculation, and they will disallow that deduction for two years. Your normal tax refund could show up in, oh, April-May or June, depending on when you filed. An EIC payment comes after. That could show up late july, sometimes as late as december. There's no guarantee you'll actually get it.

Want money that's yours and your's alone? Go do work for unreported cash payments. Pay bills with 7/11 money orders. I see people doing that all the time. I know full well, that cash is never reported as income.

I have not read all the pages, so maybe someone already said this - but here in Nebraska we have several big employers who pay illegals under the table. But they also issue very small paychecks as "proof" that their people are paid. There have been lawsuits, but these illegals should not be here in the first place, and the employers should have HEFTY FINES or put them out of business.

and that is the reason we need an E-verify system for employers with substantial penalties for not using it.

and in response to Bernie not really wanting socialism.... I like Bernie but would never vote for him because you can't have a "little bit" of socialism. It grows roots quickly and spreads like a weed.
Even when I was in college and dinosaurs roamed the campus, we had liberal professors who said
a "little bit" of socialism was good for a country. The big problem is that the elite will not suffer.... The middle class, the poor and the homeless will. now the homeless already have nothing. the poor know where food banks are, they let their teeth rot because they have no money for a dentist, they attend a city mission when a doctor holds a free clinic....but the real Middle Class is used to working to pay their bills. Owning a home. Or at least renting one. Buying some new clothes for growing children. Eating out, and fast food is included here. Most of them have more than one car. This is the major part of our people who will suffer terribly under a socialist government. Now, I will admit Vladmir Putin is quite handsome when shirtless and riding a horse, having Russian teen girls squeeling over him. But he is KGB to this day and you cannot trust him. NEITHER can you trust the liberals in our House and Senate and on our Universities. Nuff Said.

Anytime someone yammers about how the Democrats are "blocking" anything (they're not), and "blaming" them for the continuing shutdown....I like to submit *this*, which Republicans/ Conservatives have evidently fogotten..

And the democrats of today are trying to make Trump less than a one term President. You have to admit that Trump is pushing immigration issues down the throats of Congress who have been unwilling to resolve those issues for many years. As for the budgets and appropriations for those departments shut down, Congress has had months to pass that legislation and send it to Trump for his signature. They couldn't seem to get it done until now.

If the wall is such a urgent thing..WHY didn'ty he try and push for it when he had a majority of Republicans in both the House and Senate???
And would have had a better chance?
He had almosst 2 years.

Presidents and Congress can disagree, that is why the system is set up with checks and balances, so a President is not to be a DICTATOR.

Has Trump from the beginning framed the illegal immigration issue as some escalated emergency only he can solve? yes. More of his 'truthful hyperbole' that his base jumps on.

Has Trump said he would be 'proud' to shut down the government about this wall? Yes.

but what people and TRUMP and his supporters often forget, until time to shift blame,, is that the constitution sets the government up so a POTUS can not be a dictator.

Congress does not need POTUS to pass bills. they have a veto override as long as a majority can AGREE. Now, if they will agree that people being able to pay their bills is more URGENT than this wall or making Trump look good is another question altogether.
