I see a lot of women ... in the victory secret ads ...
very few men ... but saw one showing off his new comfy underwear ... then I thought they should get that guy that advertises peppermint patty's in a nice ad for comfy underwear ...

it seems to me that every other commercial on is for some sort of medicine that the pharmaceutical are pushing. No wonder America is addicted to drugs.

I'm thankful the 3-4 stations I watch most don't have commercials..
TCM, LinkTV, Create TV, CSPAN (on weekends)... *Have* to watch the Carol Burnette Show, Perry Mason, and Alfred Hitchcock in the evening though..on MeTV..and those are about the only commercials I have to see....

Who really likes watching commercials ! I do enjoy the funny ones like the old one energizing bunny or the pink little blatter critter that follows older lady around with a weak bladder.
Like Greeneyes said, there are MANY relating to medical related prescription drugs. Taking medication is Not funny ! |

Advertisers would hate me. I can see a commercial 20 times and still don't know what they are selling, because when a commercial comes on, I zone out. I'm looking at the tv but not hearing or paying attention to it.

I do like that one commercial for insurance. The couple is in the back yard with the woman on the phone, "someone burned down my she shed", and the husband, "nobody burned your she shed, sheryl, it was hit by lighting."

Here in the US..they even have TV's with adverts running on the GAS PUMPS (petrol for those across the pond)..
I have seen TV's in fast food restaurants. NO restaurant need s Tv or three, unles it is a sports vbar or something. And, years ago, like..back in the 90's and before (70's & 80's)..there weren't commercials being shown at movie theaters before the movie.. Oh sure...there were previews, and the multiple previews are bad enough (especialy since the movie is suppioed to start at 7PM, and you are still running them at 7:10) But you throw in commecials on top of that....hell, the movies doesn't even start until like7:20.. |

That's ridiculous.. The more adverts I see, the more "tone deaf" I become to them... It's like living near the airport or train tracks...after a while, you don't really notice it. In the same way...if they are hoping to sell to ME, they are going about it all wrong...I tune the **** out.. |
