I'll be. 60,000 people wanted tickets for the Cape Girardeau Mo. rally. Interesting.

Jeez! A woman collapsed during that rally just now. Everything just stopped as she was helped. Trump was quiet the whole time. A few protestors started shouting, then the crowd broke out singing Amazing Grace.

Yup, Republicans are cold hearted racists.

on a sidenote, even racists can conjure up compassion for 'their own'.

You know why they did? Several cold-hearted *astards were shouting-

"She's better off"

I hope they're terribly disapointed with today's outcome.

Donald Trump 'going to learn he’s not above the law', congressman tells president after Democrats win House

"Democrats have regained control of the House — and plan to immediately take advantage of their newfound power.

The party enjoyed historic victories across the country in the 2018 midterms, unseating a string of Republican incumbents and introducing a wave of progressive first-time candidates".

Midterm elections 2018 latest: Democrats secure 218 seats to win control of House

"Democrats have secured the 218 seats needed to regain control of the House, a major blow to Trump and the Republican party.
Democrats won Republican-held seats in Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Republicans, however, have expanded their majority in the Senate, leading Trump to declare the night a “tremendous success”.
Texas Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, who became a Democratic superstar this election, narrowly lost in his race to unseat Ted Cruz.
A record number of women won races across the country, and candidates of color and LGBT people have also broken barriers.
Andrew Gillum, Democratic candidate for governor in Florida, lost to Republican Ron DeSantis in one of the most high-profile gubernatorial races.
Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, an influential Republican, lost his seat to a Democratic challenger.
Republican Senator Dean Heller also lost his seat in Nevada to a Democratic challenger.
Missouri Democratic senator Claire McCaskill lost to a Republican challenger.
The high-stakes governor’s race in Georgia remains undecided with Democrat Stacey Abrams saying she would not concede to Republican Brian Kemp, the state’s controversial secretary of state.
The Senate race in Arizona was also too close to call.
In California, ballots are still being counted in a number of key races.
Montana’s Senate race was also too close to call".

It is the switch of last democrat POTUS, when the POTUS party maintained the senate and the other party got the house.

lets just hope we dont have the same do nothing stale mate congress results that a split congress gave us that time.

it takes both house and senate to get bills passed. I hope both sides have enough logical candidates who put citizen before party and do whats best for citizen instead of only following party.

I hope these results will at least get the focus of som many actual and wannabe "pundits" off the nonsense about "waves."

All of the so-called "waves" I've seen in 65 years, when they did seem to happen, were NOT what I would call the "logical" kind.

That is, they were NOT a matter of one party finding a set of goals which caused a large majority of Americans to enthusiastically and positively support them. The kind of "waves" I've seen, have been negative "waves."

One oft repeated error in US political history, has been an exceptionally large election victory, making the winners believe that they have a blank check from the voters to do anything they ever wanted. In common politician's parlance, this is called a "mandate."

REAL "mandates" almost NEVER happen. And when people in power THINK they have them, they do anything from get careless and waste our tax money self-congratulatory indulgences, to ignoring the Constitution.

The most repeated problem I've seen recently, has been that of Anti-ism getting confused with positive support. Both by the people using voter anger to get their way, and by the voters themselves, who think that because a politician is as angry at someone they hate as they are, that the politician will actually fix the problem involved in the way they want or need it fixed.

I just hope they get to investigate the heck out of the idiot trump and reveal his complete tax returns before 2020 . Then all will see what a true pariah he is on the country and on life itself .

Midterms are over. Dems don't have to offer anymore welfare or tell illegals they will get rid of ice. Maybe some will do the right thing.

The Democrats have barely enough votes in the House to do anything and even if something passes the House, the voters sent a clear message last night, they don't want the Democrats in control of both Houses. This wasn't nearly as bad as the beating both Obama and Clinton took in their first midterm elections after taking office.

Remember voters were so pissed off that the Republicans even won the Kennedy US Senate seat in one of the safest states for Democrats!

The flip side is that if the party with the majority still cannot pass anything, certainly the party with the minority is in the same boat.

America needs to WAKE UP and stop playing party against party and who 'wins and loses', because citizens lose and when we lose, we all lose together, there isnt a win for citizens IF they are registered one way and a lose for those registered another.

Good luck with getting members of the Alt-Right to go along with that.
They think that it is still acceptable to display symbols of white supremacy.

oh, I know its hard Dodo. the left and right have their extremists. The world is not gonna be perfect, whether its the world of politics or any other. but we can always at least strive to do better today than yesterday, and go Forward rather than backward. We can strive to leave those extremes as the outliers and not begin to accept them as the desired or the norm.

It sickens me sometimes to watch the loss of humanity and civility that is becoming accepted and admired in the country, or sometimes, maybe, I hope its just on the internet ...lol. I pray it is. Because if the ignorance and hatred I read so often on the web and hear so often in media is any indication of what we are striving for and accepting, we are royally screwed.

I agree.

For example, all that fuss about an immigrant caravan coming from Central America is foolish. It isn't illegal for natives of Central America to seek asylum in the USA. The caravan hasn't reached the USA yet, and foolish people have already labeled those asylum seekers criminals.

The Confederate flag waved today was never the the official flag of the confederate states of America Rather it was the flag of the ARMY of North Virginia..

The confederate flag for some stands for SOUTHERN PRIDE for some people while OTHERS associate it bigotry/or racism

I suppose it depends on ones PERSPECTIVE now don't it..So if one wants to wave the confederate flag to show their SOUTHERN PRIDE..another could come along and MISINTERPRET it's meaning doesn't make it right..only in their MIND is THEIR MISINTERPRETATION correct..spock
