Very interesting thing happened this week. President Trump was in Elko, Nevada. If you've never been there your not missing much at all. It's a smaller town in the middle of no where. He drew a crowd of over 10,000 people with thousands who couldn't get in.

At the same time former Vice President Joe Biden was in Las Vegas (A Democrat stronghold in Nevada and the biggest city by population in the state) and only 193 people showed up, 193!

Screw the polls, that tells you something right there. Hell, Republicans had a small event today in Las Vegas with Senator Heller with Senator Graham and they drew in over three hundred people in a very Liberal stronghold (more then Biden could bring in).

In a few hours Vice President Pence will be here in Carson City and guess who gets to meet him? This guy right here!

Who founded the KKK? Democrats!

Who voted against civil rights? Democrats!

Who voted against giving equal rights and voting rights to blacks?

Again, Democrats!

It's no wonder Dems are trying to destroy our history and trying to regulate courses of study in our educational system.

Just sayin'......

Quite correct. Dems can't hide their associations with history, no matter how they try to explain it away. Also, Hitler took hold of the southern discrimination laws on the books, changed the wording black to Jews, and put them in force in Germany.

I like the walkaway movement slogan-

Not Racist
Not homophobic
Not transfobic
Not Democratic

its no wonder republicans are trying to destroy history and trying to destroy public education by claiming the accomplishments and views of the past political party platforms which have changed dramatically over the century.

Actually no. The entire Democratic party was up in arms over slavery, many resigned seats and moved to the south.

How about recent history when a Republican had the guts to lift the Posse Comitatus Act to activate the military on US Soil to protect African American students? Who stood in the door way and had to be removed? Th Governor of the state who was a Democrat.

All the various civil rights act had over 90% Republican support most of the time 100%. Some of the bills had no support from the Democrats.

You cant change history.

History lesson

KKK was founded in Pulaski TN in 1865
the KKK was founded by confederates

Who were the confederate states?

Mississippi, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas

which way do these states lean today? Republican.

its region, more so than party, the regions have evolved and altered their parties of choice.

The KKK was founded by Nathan Bedford Forrest a very prominent Democrat who was a high ranking officer in the Confederate Army due to his prominence.

Then lets looks at all the ties top elected officials have to the KKK, including well into thee 1980s! A Democrat who was President aired the screening of Birth of a Nation at the White House and praised it, he was also a former Klansman. Several Democratic Governors, Congressmen and Senators were Klansmen including a one of the most vile and evilest men to hold office in America, Robert Byrd who was 3rd in the line of Presidential succession BTW. He maintained his Klan ties until at least the 1980's including voting against the civil rights act, the equal rights act etc. Oh and how about President Johnson who laughed when signing the Civil Rights Act who famously said while laughing "We will have those N****rs voting for Democrats for the next hundred years". BTW Republicans voted 100% for the act and Democrats did not.

Yeah, the Republicans are sure the party of racism.

Before anyone brings his Dumba$$ up David Duke was a Democrat his entire life until he decided to run for office and take advantage of a jungle primary where a Republican candidate held the advantage. The moment he entered the race the entire Party disowned him. It was the only time in the history of our country that we had every living former President, Vice President and Current President and Vice President get involved in a lowly state Assembly race and all endorsed and campaigned for his Democrat opponent. Nixon, Ford, , Reagan, Bush Sr., Quale all got involved in that race and campaigned heavily for a Democrat. The first time in history that's happened with either party.

Interesting fact about Duke, one of the few state law makers in history that had 99% of his bills killed before they could go-to a full vote. One bill he did write that passed was actually a damn good law. It prevented convicted criminals from profiting from their crimes... Shortly after that law went nationwide. That was in response to the growing popularity of people like Charles Manson and Richard Ramirez selling art and profiting off their cult status.

Elko has become a strategic point in Nevada political races. Basically the Republicans will lose most of Vegas, that's a given. They will lose part of Washoe and Part of Carson City but Republican's take the rurals by large numbers too. That's why a Democrat has never come close to winning Congressional District 2 that covers all of Northern Nevada. Currently help by my good friend Congressman Amodei who I have known for many years.

They sit back in their high winged backed chairs looking down on the PUPPETS..Let the divisiveness begin they exclaim as they sit behind mountains of the worthless dollar that we all strive to obtain..after all it is the system ..the matrix created..red and blue me and you don't cross the line stand on your side and remain blind ..a government in control but never in control ..it doesn't matter it's what we have them believe as they go off to false narrative wars and bleed..Life in the matrix isn't all that we are led to believe..we are the brainwashed the puppets the sheeple fighting in the streets while those who are really in control of our government hold private meetings never to be seen..unknown to the brainwashed masses.

we hang on to that which we are told by the media and think we know the truth but it is nothing more than the song of the Mockingbird..just enough to stir the pot and to create divisiveness as they steal our wealth sacrifice our children and enslave us all...and even tho the information exist to enlighten..no one listens..and most will never "DO THE RESEARCH'..to free themselves..so the Mockingbird continues to sing and the brainwashed PUPPETS remain enslaved...

I dont think much will change.

Those who support republicans will use Kavanaugh to attack dems as things like 'whiners', and those who support democrats as fakes with fake outrage and obvious lies

both sides will continue to have the most vocal critics seeing ongly what appears to condemn others and keep themselves elevated.
thats why the democrats will lose seats this election , the dem. running think no one cares enough to call them out on their deplorable attitudes during this election cycle. But I'm willing to bet many democrats will vote republican this time or not vote at all because of the shame they have put on their party

no. you cant change it, OR nitpick it. So to clarify.

I have researched the facts.

1 13th amendment was passed by the 39th congress.
2. the 39th senate had 9 democrats(formerly democratic-republican, interestingly enough) , it had also 37 republicans and one unionist
3. the 39th house had 40 democrats and 132 republicans

4. on April 8th 1864, the 13th passed with a vote of 38 to 6
https://guides.loc.gov/13th-amendment/digital-collections

the SIX dissenting votes were: Davis(unionist from Kentucky), Hendricks(d from indiana), Powell(unknown), Riddle(d delaware), Salisbury (d delaware), mcdougal(r california)

https://guides.loc.gov/13th-amendment/digital-collections

FACTS:

DEMS submitted three naes and two yaes

not to mention this is the political structure from over two centuries ago, and the labels are no longer consistent with todays political structure.

two centuries ago, it was 'liberals' fighting for civil rights, just like it is today, the DIFFERENCE is that two centuries ago, the republicans were the liberals, and today, THEY ARE NOT.

I cant attest for what other individuals are thinking. I know that I think, as far as the political rhetoric, not much will change. These threads are living proof. Same, tired, regurgitated politician talking points without alot of independent thought.

Of course there will be different PEOPLE, which gives hope of a start down a different lane, but the basic 'us vs them' blinding BS does not seem to be going anywhere, and will continue to make us much weaker than is excusable.

and because people vote anyonymously, I do not see why they would decide not to vote out of 'shame' for what someone else may or may not have done. All dems/reps dont do the same things, want the same things, or think the same things. WE are all INDIVIDUALS first.

Early voting points to massive turnout, potential warning signs for GOP

"Early voting numbers show a dramatic increase in voter engagement in this year's midterm elections compared with 2014 totals, and preliminary turnout results in some states are sending Republicans renewed warnings of a so-called "blue wave" just weeks before Election Day".
