Most people are sick of pc politicians. He definitely has your attention. So, he must be doing something right.

Actually, it is more like "I can't believe this guy can't pull off at least ONE thing right yet" I mean, even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally. Let's see:
- whiffed on "straightening out Obamacare"
- got laughed at by Mexico(!) when he told them to pay for the wall
- still can't find his taxes to show the American people, as promised.
- whiffed on finding any damning dirt on Hillary
- couldn't find a single unconstitutional EO signed by Obama
- was made a laughing stock by a tinpot obese dictator
- has been called "moron" and "crazy" by members of his staff
- never read the Constitution, must have bought his way out of HS civics class
- Had to be taught flag etiquette by his foreign-born wife
- Makes W look intelligent
- Sells out our intelligence services to a foreign government and doesn't even realize they got the best of him
- Looks like a petulant child with the other G7 leaders.
- publicly disrespects American former POWs, when he didn't have the balls to serve

I mean, if he wasn't trashing my country, it might actually be "must see TV". But I simply find myself wishing he would do SOMETHING, ANYTHING not totally self-surving

It's amazing people are jealous of Trump but want to critique every move he makes. What's even more amazing is they think Trump controls the weather. Since it was a cat 1, can libs stop complaining?

Why on earth would anyone be jealous of Trump? He's arrogant, self serving and so full of himself. He reminds me of the snake oil salesmen in Western Movies - just tell the people what they want to hear.
I couldn't stand Nixon in the 70's but at least he had the grace to admit when he was wrong.

This isn't just an outlandish statement. It's an outright lie.

Trump Said All Democrats Signed An 'Open Borders' Bill. They Didn't.

"President Donald Trump is ramping up his presence on the campaign trail. He's headed all over the country trying to stir up energy for Republicans ahead of the midterm elections.

At his rallies lately, he's been making some misleading or false claims. Take this one on what Democrats want to do at the border.

"Every single Democrat in the U.S. Senate has signed up for the open borders, and it's a bill, it's called the 'open borders bill.' What's going on? And it's written by, guess who? Dianne Feinstein," Trump said at a rally in Kansas.

There is no such bill".

Oops, he did it again, just saying what sticks

Earlier this week, USA Today published an op-ed in Mr Trump’s name, in which the president attacked Democrats’ plan to expand Medicare, the US’s national health insurance programme.

Some Democrats are campaigning on a platform of Medicare for all, which Mr Trump claims, without providing any evidence, would “take away benefits that seniors have paid for their entire lives”.

“As a candidate, I promised that we would protect coverage for patients with preexisting conditions and create new health-care insurance options that would lower premiums,” Mr Trump wrote.

Yet New York magazine pointed out that a hyperlink embedded in the article, either by someone in the White House communications team or at USA Today, linked to a June 2018 article in the Washington Post.

The fact-checking article highlighted that the Trump administration had been supporting a lawsuit to eliminate protections for patients with preexisting conditions - the precise opposite to what the president had claimed in the article he put his name to.

Naturally enough, the Washington Post was among those quick to point out Mr Trump’s falsehoods, and poke a little fun at the president over the matter of an errant hyperlink.

“President Trump wrote an opinion article for USA Today on October 10 regarding proposals to expand Medicare to all Americans - known as Medicare-for-All - in which almost every sentence contained a misleading statement or a falsehood,” it said.

“Many of these are claims we have already debunked. Presumably, the president is aware of our fact checks - he even links to two - but chose to ignore the facts in service of a campaign-style op-ed.”

I agree with Trump. Anyone who has dealth with an aging parent and Medicare knows that Medicare is already limited. It rations Medicare to people over 65 already. Most of our seniors already choose between medicine or food if they aren't on MEDICAID. Add work aged people to this plan would be a disaster. Especially with baby boomers at retirement age. We already need more younger people working to support our seniors who have paid into Medicare and deserve the benefit.

In a perfect world pre-existing conditions would be cover. But in the real world procedures get denied all the time. I have a coworkering having surgery next month. The Dr said she needs it but the ins listed it as an elective.

My ex in laws pay thousands of dollars every year for healthcare. Chemo etc. They have accomplished a lot over their lifetime. If they ever get to broke, they can apply for Medicaid. That's our countries safety net.

I will be voting Republican along with a ton of baby boomers who want to keep the Medicare program alive.

They just passed a bill where pharmacist aren't under a gag order. They can talk to patients about cheaper alternatives. This will go a long way in price reduction. Trump is also negotiating tarriffs we pay on drugs.
Also talk of practical nurses taking over the role of what a family Dr use to do would save a ton. Emergency Dr are setting up everywhere to cut the use of emergency rooms. We just need to make it free for the indigent. Dr are being prosecuted for writing prescription for pain meds that weren't needed. That will go a long way to stop fraud on the part of Dr and patients. Virtual Dr appointments will reduce cost. Nurses being allowed to write scripts for antibiotics will reduce cost. Drn's for elderly and stopping maintaince drugs for patience who are vegetative will reduce waste.

Some more Trump delusions.

Post-Kanye, Trump says 'we're going to get the African-American vote".

"President Trump has a dream.

One day after rapper Kanye West, wearing a red “Make America Great” hat, delivered an incoherent rant in the Oval Office, Trump again set his sights on the long-shot goal of winning the African-American vote.

“I think we’re going to get the African-American vote,” Trump said Friday in Lebanon, Ohio, the second campaign rally the president has held since Hurricane Michael barreled into the Florida panhandle, devastating coastal communities before continuing its deadly rampage across the South.

“Kanye West, what he did was pretty amazing yesterday,” Trump said with a chuckle. “Pretty amazing.”

As he does at every one of his rallies, Trump noted that African-American unemployment is at a historic low. While that claim is true in the post-slavery period, the downward trend began under President Barack Obama".

Trump has gained among black voters since the 2016 election

"A new Quinnipiac University poll finds that President Donald Trump's approval rating is 41%, with a disapproval rating of 54%. That's largely consistent with live-interview national polling taken the last few months.
When you break it down by race, Trump's approval rating is 9% among black voters. His disapproval rating is 85% among them.
What's the point: There is another poll out in which more than 30% of black voters supposedly approve of Trump's job performance. Trump's biggest fans have trumpeted this poll as a sign that he is breaking through with African-Americans. The problem is the poll is almost certainly incorrect.
Polls of higher quality such as Quinnipiac's -- probability-based polls that are transparent about their data -- have consistently found Trump's approval rating to be much lower. The President's approval rating in these polls completed since July has averaged 12% with African-Americans. His disapproval rating has averaged 84%".

http://www.cnn.com/2018/08/18/politics/poll-of-the-week-trump-black-voters/index.html

No, one-third of African Americans don’t support Trump. Not even close.

"Polling firms that have interviewed far more African Americans … all show that Trump’s black approval rating is much lower than 36 percent. For example, Gallup has interviewed thousands of African American respondents in 2018. Its polling suggests that Trump’s black approval rating has consistently been around 10 to 15 percent through 2018".

Most people vote based on their personal situation. For instance, Kanye has income and property and a tax cut benefits him. A large number of blacks live in poverty. A tax cut means nothing if you don't have a job and don't want one. But most of these types aren't going to vote anyway. If Trump appeals to the thriving members of the black community, it's a plus.

one of the things I actually pity the wealthy for, most of the time, no matter how bat crap crazy they go, people overlook it as eccentric, joke about it, and keep moving on, with little hope anyone will get them any help for their mental illness.

In this, I actually feel sorry for Trump AND Kanye. I think they both have mental and emotional issues that no one will ever call out or get them help for.

yeah, race reconciliation, THATS the issue even though white women pregnant by black men are whores and families with mixed kids are embarassed and blacks dont wanna work and act like animals ...

lol ... amazing.

Anyway, there is more than one person of color with a white friend and more than one white person with a black friend. IT has NOTHING to do with the problems of Trump or Kanye.

I give Kanye credit where credit is due, for his musical creativeness. Beyond that, what color or party his friends belong to has nothing to do with him being mentally ill, going from saying Bush didnt care about black people to turning around and acting like a gleeful child in love with Trump. Writing about black men leaving black women to be with white women, but turning around and leaving his black girlfriend for a white woman. Going on about slavery being a choice and how it should not have been a crime ... NONE of that has anything to do with the color of his friends or his politics, it has to do with signs that he went through some drastic CORE change, and that he has lost his mind.

Kanye West can't help it because he has a mental condition. I won't beat him down on that. But Trump allowing this man to speak on his behalf doesn't help his cause at all. Simply because people who know about Kanye, Don't pay him any attention because they know his mental state. By letting Kanye speak, it only makes Trump look like he shares his delusions.

Kanye West Opens Up About Having Bipolar Disorder & Mental Health In The U.S.

"Kanye West hasn’t been able to stay out of the spotlight recently, with controversies surrounding his vocal support of Donald Trump, comments about slavery, and accusations that he abandoned his charity organization Donda House dominating the 24-hour news cycle. Since dropping his new album Ye on Friday, the rapper is making headlines again.
West revealed he has bipolar disorder, and he doesn’t view it as a disadvantage. On the track “Yikes,” West’s lyrics state, “That’s my bipolar ****,” adding, “That’s my superpower n----, ain’t no disability.” He later spoke to radio host Big Boy, confirming he was “diagnosed with a mental condition.” In the interview, West emphasizes again that he feels his disorder is his super power because it is part of what allows him to create. The 40-year-old rap legend also hinted that his official diagnosis came recently, saying, “I've never been diagnosed and I was like 39 years old."

Well, shouldn't a person have the right to choose who they date/marry? Shouldn't he have the right to support Trump even though he didn't think bush was a good president? Maybe kayne sees the blacks population living in poverty because they won't work. Maybe blacks were forced to work back during times of slavery because that the only way they would. Looks like kayne calls it like he sees it, instead of the generic blacks can't succeed because of oppression.
If I remember correctly Taylor swift came out about having depression...but she isn't a Trump supporter. Kanye has lots of fans and he knew he would be attacked before he met with Trump. He has made it perfectly clear that he doesn't give a damn what other blacks say, he is supporting Trump.

confusing the issue. People have the 'right' to do alot of things including be crazy and inconsistent, which Trump and Kanye both have the regular occurrence of being.

There is nothing wrong with interracial relations obviously, my daughter is the result of one. The point is about THIS specific person's opinion about it earlier (among other things) and the drastic turnaround to what he claims or expresses now, on top of how much of what he says is outright insane.

will we ever be spared the nauseating bigotry about blacks?

I didn't like Bush either and now I'm a Trump supporter. I can think for myself and choose candidates based on issues. That's not being inconsistent. It's not being inconsistent when it comes to Kanye either. It's just you want him to be against Trump because you are.

I don't know what black gf kayne stopped seeing but it's normal to date before you choose one to marry. Imagine if everyone had to stay with the first person. It's sounds like kayne is expressing himself in his music about some of his life experiences dating black women. You can't say that his experience isn't real.

Kayne is an entertainer. It's his job to keep people's attention. When Nikki calmed her outfits she had people lose interest.

I'm defending a black man and you are saying he shouldn't have stopped dating his black gf to marry a white woman. So, who is the racist?
