I loved Bermuda, very laid back
and Hawaii ( Maui)

The pink sand beaches smitten

Young lady, there are no pink sand beaches in Hawai'i.
Except for photos that are faked by idiots who have never been there

I'd buy a remote island.
Immediately declare myself King.
Then I'd immediately ban patchouli
from my island.

Uh dude, u r aware of something called Global Warming + Rising Oceans?

Well your private remote island will not be around for very long, like those other island nations that no longer exist. Because of rising encroaching tides than have eroded away everything above the water line.

However, if you're talking "remote" island in a river or fresh water lake, dude there is no such thing. You are either having a crack fantasy,or tripping on acid.
Unless you're actually an ignorant illiterate teenager faking your account.

Jesus Christ!!! what a downer!

Hey, why don't you join Greenpeace and just bang around on the waves out there looking for tuna boats to harass.

you ruined our vacation dreams.

If I could afford it: an aircraft carrier in international waters wherever I wanted to go according to the seasons.
Turn it into a massive fly in/fly out adults only floating hotel with all facilities: hospital for health, cosmetic and any other surgery, concert stadium, ball room, sport/fitness facilities, casino, fine art gallery, water park, nude beach, brewery, big terrarium/gardens, game courts, you name it. Love boat on steroids.

And have a BYO system for guests, (within reason) - as long as they don't get too messy, or abusive, or dangerous, or sick, let them have their own fun without nanny state and big brother killjoys putting them in jail. Probably a chill out / time out area (the brig) if they do get out of hand, and a customs clearance facility for before they fly back home again, so they are 'safe'.

Who wants a ticket ? waving

I love Hawaii particularly Maui, but I will never drive to Hana again...

Been to Maui, Molokai, Kauai, Lanai (before it was privatized), Kaho'olawe, Niihau, and Hawaii.
Got relatives on all of those except Niihau.

Lanai ish still beautiful, in fact they're trying to improve some of the infrastructure so it ishn't ash neglected ash it was before.

It ish possible that it will be a new paradise in another decade. Ash long ash it ishn't swallowed up by the seas.

When and if I can afford to do so, I fully intend to find and purchase a plot of scrub somewhere in Nevada or New Mexico, where there ish minimal development.
Not ash much ash off the grid, buht ash far away from stupid huemahns that ish posshible.
You know the type, you try to avoid when ever posshible.
Well that kind of real estate was never plotted on any of the old Russian ballistic missile target programs.
Because there ish nothing of any value other than endangered animals, plants, and forgotten settlements of homesteads that failed.

As an alternate, I have always fancied building a deep water houseboat, to go where ever there are ports that can accommodate my boats draft.
It involves converting a former ocean going tug, from diesel to electricity. So it never runs out of fuel, and can easily outrun modern-day pirates, or ram their boats if there are too many of them.

There are still stretches of ocean that no country has absolute control of, where it ishn't safe for solitary boats to be alone.
