I think the focus is for survival horror featuring women that persist.
I find The Exorcist a fantasy comedy. I find any demon movie a laughable fantasy.

The Hills Have Eyes (1977) + (2006)
(1977) version is on youtube

Tom, checked out your list (first one) some really bad videos on it, I mean
technically speaking..I have no tolerance for horror either..it is a
strange thing to come across a GOOD movie with subject matter I never cared
for (any violence) I appreciate the lists though, I have not checked the
new ones yet.

Rockgnome, if you ever see the one you mentioned on YouTube let me know ;-)

Workin4it,The Exorcist is still lodged in my brain from when it first
came out...that head spinning..

Yeah soufiehere,
Youtube is usually hit or miss on video quality.
Plus, the good versions don't stay up long in most cases.
I did do a youtube movie list if you're looking for a movie to watch.
http://mingle2.com/topic/551354
Its a mix of genres.
Some of the links have since went defunct but many are still active.

I stream many of the movies I watch online from different sources.
Archive.org http://archive.org/details/feature_films
Openload http://openloadmovies.tv/
Popcorn Flix http://www.popcornflix.com/pages/movies/d/movies
Disney via cornell http://www.cornel1801.com/disney/movie.html
Crackle http://www.sonycrackle.com/movies
Solar Streaming http://www.solarmoviez.stream/

Plus I belong to some closed groups that require a password that gives access to TV shows and Live TV feeds.

Most of these sites are in flash or a web browser compatible player.
There are a few divx sites but they are kinda wonky and take forever to buffer.

If you know the movie title and year you can use a search site to find versions online (mostly openload and streamango)
Its called ololo

Its difficult to be on any site without some type of adblocker.

Did y'all know if you hover your mouse over a link before you click it you can see the destination in your browser?
In Firefox and Waterfox it appears on the bottom left of the page.
Pay mind to what you click.

You appear to do a lot of streaming stuff.

I just order the DVD/Bluray from Netflix and burn myself a copy.

You should try it.

I won't go there but I do remember punchcard computers that took up a whole room.
Those 6 links you listed^^^are those no-fee?
I don't put my money data on the internet.
I don't buy anything online unless I get a prepaid card to do it.
All the sites I use are HTML streaming sites.
There are speed boosts that you can pay for but if you have patience or a fast connection streaming/downloading is fast enough (make sure you let it buffer a bit)
There are limitations placed on the free bandwidth and the more users on that file the slower the videos buffer in some cases.
I usually load 3 or 4 videos in tabs, start each one, pause it and check back and play the one that has buffered the most.
Most of the time, by the time you finish one movie the others have buffered.
You can also download free players (I use GOM but anyFLV is a popular one) and upen the 'Video From URL' then paste the URL of the file into the player (ya still gotta let it buffer).
I don't use torrents but if you find a torrent site I know Opera browser has the ability to do torrents.

Youtube is usually webm files and you may still find some html5.
Most link aggregators link to mp4, divx, mkv, avi and flv. The majority are mp4 and flv.

You can also use addons like download helper and down-them-all to download the file to watch offline. File sizes can be anywhere from a few hundred MB to a GB or more depending on the size and quality of the video.

Mp4 works well with game platforms and android type phones. There are free converters like any video converter that allows you to convert your avi or flash file to mp4. So if you will be going to a dr appt or a day away, you can put your movie on your phone and watch it anywhere.
You can do the same with TV shows.
Here is one site that offers shows by season.
http://www1.swatchseries.to/
They don't like adblocking software but you can shut it off for just the pages you want.
The site offers a nice selection of old, sometimes very old TV shows.
Here is "Leave It To Beaver"

I used to have a netflix account, back when they first appeared.
My son gave me his netflix password and his dishAnywhere password and I looked but found that I have more movies readily available in my own collection. The ones I don't have, I don't want to see.
I only stream when I don't want to unzip a file.
I went to Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom at the theater. I then came home and streamed it. I've watched it 6 times since. I could watch it right now if I wanted to.
On the 3rd viewing, I unzipped the entire Jurassic Park/World folder and watched all 5 movies back to back. I didn't need to wait till they came in the mail but I could have just as easily loaded all the movies onto tabs and streamed them all. I could do that right now if I wanted.
Plus, I paid nothing. Well, actually, I paid $60 @ month for access to whatever I can view on the internet.

One more note if you are using your browser to stream video.
Change the browser cache to max (1024mb) and turn off history or set it to 1 day.
Also make sure your browser popup blocker is turned on and your antivirus and spyware blocker software is up to date and turned on.

If you have a tablet or smartphone, cheek out Showbox. It's free and I'm watching Fallen Kingdom on it right now. (I "cast" the stream from my table t to my Roku.)shades

I won't go there but I do remember punchcard computers that took up a whole room.

I worked for Gene Amdahl, if you have familiarity with mainframes and indeed,
that is EXACTLY how it took in stats, with punch cards.

And before the PC..so guess what we used to access a mainframe (shared time,
which is how everyone got to use a computer)..we used teletype machines!

Thanks so much for the info Tom..I am finding with YouTube that I can
watch a movie one day, a day later it is gone from viewing.

Yeah thats kinda common with any free movie streaming site unless the site is primarily public domain or sponsored by the copyright holders.

If you prefer Youtube there are some uploaders that have permission to host movies on youtube.

I really don't understand how people cannot like horror movies. They're the new archetypes, the modern version of the old spaghetti Western movies.

The bad guy (or monster) always loses.

The good guy(or girl, think Sigourney Weaver in Aliens) always wins.

And everybody lives happily ever after.

Can anyone name a single horror movie where the bad guy won?

Even the movies where the bad guy appears to win, the first thing they do in the sequel, (and there's ALWAYS a sequel), is kill him off.

You may be onto something there.

I see a movie kind of like storytelling with pictures, like the pop-up picture books we had his kids.

If nobody's paying any attention to the story, what's the point of being there?

The Creeper was toasted, sliced and diced in JC2.

JC3 was a "mid-quel", inserted between 1 & 2. I found it most fitting that the kid's big sister punched his ticket.
