In real life, I say 4 words... "I Really Like You" I would like to think that works online as well... least until you get to meet the person.
I believe it does. I do know that it gets my attention. On the bad side tho, so do scammers. It would get mine as well, but it would have to be something he said in a private message for me to take it serious. If he is being all sweet and flirtatious in the forums but doesn't message me privately or say anything if he does message me, then I can't help but think it's just my imagination and he isn't really interested. As far as the bad side, yes I've experienced that many times... although since I left the dating part of the site, I don't pay attention to those kind of messages anymore. You left the dating site Sis? 
No Sis,  I'm still in the forums. I'm talking about the other part of Mingle.. where you search for matches and those who try to get to know you that have never been to the forums. From what I understand, that's the dating section and the forums are more social. Although I imagine you could set up a date in the forums playing the games. I see... i havent been doing that either  so thats why i dont get dates? how does playing games set up a date sis?

I chat or talk or text with them.
That goes well, I try to set up a meet with them. If that goes well, I try to set up an actual date with her, where I may very well bring flowers....that is if she isn't allergic. 
Otherwise, I figure something else out that she enjoys.

Well the way Scoob describe would most likely work. So far none of them, unless they are part of the forums, have been genuine! And there have been none in my area until now. Guess time will tell with these ones. I'm thinking about reaching out and seeing if I'm able to meet one or two... especially the one that says he lives on the Island. |

Many men on mingle2 are not on the Forums and real people.
Some that contact me are far away so I reply nicely and say no way!
Some men don't. Want to talk to a woman Public post's. And that makes good sense. Hundreds of profiles on mingle2. Small percentage on the Forums. |
