The most wonderful thing about rural Texas...

If someone breaks into my home,
while I'm home, I can plant a .45 calibre slug
in the offending person's forehead.

That is how it should be in all 50 states.

I agree with RockGnome and Blake last posts.

I wish it was the case in my country, apparently you cant defend yourself and shoot someone for breaking in, but you can shoot a bear if it tries to get in your home

With the exception if the animal is on the danger extinction list.

we have some really bizarre laws up here,Did I ever tell you that in my city a kid needs a license to sell lemonade on their front lawn, and lord knows your lemonade stand better not disrupt the squirrels rights because they have rights too now.

Mikey,

Im sure some loony left will protest me shooting a burglar dressed as a bear as prejudice against bears.

They always used to say "an English man's home is his castle"
We don't have guns like the usa but I see no reason why you can't shoot or attack someone who breaks in!

Mikey,

in America you can, but In Canada you cant, and what's even more bizarre , I have a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, same as my sister

If a burglar breaks into our home we are allowed to use force but because we are into martial arts and in my sister and my case its been over 25 years if we used jiu jitsu to defend we could get in trouble if we dont warn the attacker that we know martial arts.

mind you if my sister because she is a female uses it they wouldnt bat an eye but a man uses it even in his home will be investigated.

friggen liberals.

I'd rather have one and not need it than need one and not have it.

I wish that was the case here Tom.

It seems the left mentality is its better to be Carried by 6 of your buddies vs being judged by 12 strangers .

Sometimes a gun isn't necessary.

Some years ago, A local gas station owner near me was confronted by a man that was going to rob him, and another customer at the station. It was Sunday, and the station was closed. The robber shot the customer while both were laying face down. Instead of shooting the owner, the robber ran around the building. Seeing the customer laying dead, the owner jumped up, got into his tow truck, and started chasing the on foot robber. The robber started shooting at the truck. To stop him, he ran the S.O.B. over with the truck.

To this day, he still has the commendation presented to him by the local county sheriff for his bravery, hanging on his gas station wall.

None of this happened within the four walls of his house. It happened outside of his business, and he ran over the guy on a county road.

Sometimes, it's the circumstances behind the event that exonerates the innocent person.

IDK...seems like those talking the most usually have never bought guns or ammo. The fact remains guns are made for killing. Whether a single shot black powder or the latest and greatest GE minigun. We got laws against killing yet killing gets worse. Heck these laws have been around for thousands of years...nothing new. when the economy goes south people kill for money and property. People used to just kill for peoples possessions...dead men tell no lies. Now some kid that lacks self-control reaches for a weapon or throws his fist everytime someone says his mom is ugly. Different folks than 75 years ago. I think people have lost the fear of death and punishment. Most definitely lost respect for life other than their own. A selfish self-satisfying bunch. That surround themselves with like-minded people not caring what anyone else believes...that just about describes every political group in America at this time.

Sensible gun laws are coming whether you like it or not
the latest incident in Florida is the last straw..

say goodbye to the sale of assault rifles, bump stocks,
high capacity magazines, loopholes and short waiting periods..

i say good, it's about time.........what say you ???

all comments pro-con are welcome and appreciated...

every shooting in the past 8 years was "the last straw". Cable media doesnt want to talk about how many lives are saved by guns which is anywhere from 500,000 to 3 million. Those numbers don't even include the violent crime prevented by merely brandishing the firearm. Bans aint coming.
