Travelling solo is great as you get to meet a helluva lot more people. When together you are together and are less outgoing as you don't need anyone else for socializing. You'll still meet people but it's different. When alone you tend to actually look for company so you make new friends and contacts.
I've traveled through Australia alone, went to Bali on my own and stayed there for 2 months. Made a lot of friends and had a great time with them! |

Hello All,
I've been solo-T for past 3-4 years now. I took road trips to unknown places sometimes on the weekends. I had flown solo to various part of the States and other Countries. Most of the time I enjoy myself, but I surely wouldn't mind male to accompanied me. My last trip was in December 2018, preparing for possible trip to Germany before end of 2019. |

My partner and I enjoyed cruising together. Now that I am alone, cruise ships seem more friendly to solo female passengers than to solo males but not very helpful to either. Perhaps I misperceive this or have simply missed solo-friendly cruise lines. What has become of the sites that used to match people for cruises?

I would prefer company sometimes but finding another single to travel with is nearly impossible!!

I love solo travelling to meet new people along the way. it's fun sharing some thoughts and problem with the strangers sometimes.

If you really want to get to know someone, take a long road trip with them in a small car with no radio.

Going on a road trip with the wrong person is not good.

After months of traveling and camping alone in bushland, I much prefer even slightly annoying company, but not for too long.
Even best friends get annoying after a while. So many times I wanted to say "did you see that", or had a good laugh with myself - not so funny alone. (And I'm not crazy) |
