Exactly. I do give god all the ‘glory’ if you like that word. I don’t care for that word myself because the word implies a kind of egotistical pride. I don’t believe that god is arrogant (i.e. self-important). And this is one huge reason why the biblical God doesn’t appeal to me. The biblical God seems to have extreme self-importance issues. That’s typically a trait that we see as being extremely undesirable in a human. So why should it be seen any differnet as a trait for a God to have??? Why should God be arrogant?



Perhaps not, but the idea that searching for the truth of our universe represents ‘wisdom’ combined with the verses that Wouldee posted that seemed (at least to me) to be suggestive that we shouldn’t be seeking wisdom in this way, seems to somehow imply that science is a misguided venture.

Perhaps I misread the intent. But if that’s the case, then I’m not sure what the intent behind posting the verses was. I merely responded based on my perceptions of what I thought was being suggested.

My father was a scientist/engineer for the Nasa Program. And I assure you it was ligit. He did all the Mariner and all the Apollo launces and then to to calif and did the space shuttle.......Watching Apollo 13 was watching my life. And I can assure you it was very very real.......And highly insulting to my fathers 45+ years in this and other aerospace programs.

God is all important sweets......God ask two things of human beings....To Love him and only him....no other God's. And to love your neighbor as yourself.....I hardly call that arrogant....God if you choose self importance of putting him above anyone or anything else then yes I would say your correct.
And the biggest difference in having that trait as a human and God as God it's because he IS GOD
