Struggle with faith
Faith is believing in something without experience. Many 'faiths' are based on delusions. The struggle happens when experienced reality does not match up with the belief of the faith. A choice is needed to determine if you want to continue believing the delusion or embrace the reality. People tend to cherish their delusions. Problem is, once the delusion is lifted, it is very hard to re-delude yourself. Thus, there is a struggle. |

Storms of life respect no age or position.
Our perspectives towards issues of life are inspired by our experiences. Our scope of understanding can not exceed our level of experience. Hence shallow and deep perception of same issue co-exist in same world Okay, I don't want to tread on any toes or be accidentally rude here. I looked up the phrase "storms of life," and all the references came back as VERY insider Christianity. So inside, that none of them even hinted at what the phrase refers so colorfully to. So no comment possible in response to that. "Our perspectives towards issues of life are inspired by our experiences." I'd answer that claim with "partly, but not entirely." " Our scope of understanding can not exceed our level of experience. " I'd say firmly, that that assertion is flat out false. Almost everyone I have ever known, has repeatedly understood things that are way beyond their experience. It's fundamental to existence. If you have to experience falling from a great height before you understand that it's not very good for you, then you wont live past the first day you come upon a great height. " Hence shallow and deep perception of same issue co-exist in same world." ????? I don't follow. If you stick with your assertion that no one can understand what they haven't experienced, wouldn't that mean that there CAN be no simultaneous shallow and deep perception? "" I'm getting that the use of the "rolf" emoticon suggests that you think you said something funny. Could you expand on that a bit? As I said at the top, I'm not deep into any religion, so if this is a thread for intense Christians only, you can ignore my questions and comments. |

Storms of life respect no age or position. Our perspectives towards issues of life are inspired by our experiences. Our scope of understanding can not exceed our level of experience. Hence shallow and deep perception of same issue co-exist in same world very true. as my elders told us and advertisers and media know all too well, "your perception is your reality." |

God is your strength I used to think that but every time I think about Cain and Abel I can't rationalize the discrepancy . Cain did everything he could for his god but the favor fell on Abel. Why is that? |

God is your strength I used to think that but every time I think about Cain and Abel I can't rationalize the discrepancy . Cain did everything he could for his god but the favor fell on Abel. Why is that? I dont know if Cain did 'everything he could' I do believe that God looks at the heart though. And I believe giving out of obligation is different than giving from the heart, and perhaps that was the discretion. |

Assuming there's merit to that opinion it still leaves the question about king Saul ,gods anointed king, to be replaced by David, who had Batsheba ' s husband killed but remained gods favorite. This events only proved to me that no matter how much we try , if he don't care for us , there's nothing we can do about it. |

So many people are blinded by the opinions or perceptions of others..Seek the truth yourself and don't be so quick to make someone else's opinion your own.. All the strength one needs can be found within themselves..all one has to do is... believe..believe in themselves... |

I personally do not struggle with faith , at least faith in God.
However I cannot say the same about us humans . All of us exercise faith including atheists. What matters the most is where you place your faith. Without God's amazing grace, forgiveness, and marvelous redemption there is no hope for mankind. One must come to God by faith . Faith in Him pleases Him. All glory be to God forever. ⚘ |
