This is not a post to fight over ... just a matter of opinion... ok Not that this may be fake news ... hahahah... but I believe Trump said he thought ... we should not be telling ... other countries about our security and or other issues ... of what the government might be doing ... kinda closing off the media a bit and news story's ... and even speak of what might be going on in our wars too... he really wants to silence reporters and take that freedom of speech away from them ... especially in the cyber world also... but the catch here is... Trump wants to continue... using twitter after the inauguration ... and while living in the white house... once he is President ... do you believe he needs to continue this or not ... should he be worried about breaching national security him self... if he still does this ... I am not sure but Twitter... is not so privet either... |

I think he should be talking to his staff first then making announcements. Call me old fashion, but I think his announcements and comments should come during press conferences, not via a I-pad or cell phone I don't think any leader of a super power should be using that mode of communication |

I agree with the above
I'm quite sure they'll stop it on him when he gets in the office but it's not very presidential of him at all |

The news media needs to bow down and kiss his ring and ask for forgiveness.

Donald is a dysfunctional addict that has relationship problems ... much like Dennis Hastert is a dysfunctional addict with relationship problems but a 7 on a scale of 10 ... with Dennis Hastert being a 10.
Both of them Republicans .. both of them Lie ... both of them can not read ... both of them pay money to avoid criminal prosecution. That is why Crooked Hillary got a Presidential Pardon from him. What is not to like ... sumbuddie wear blind sea |

I feel communication is more important than means of communication
twitter is just another avenue to share information, so , no, I dont have a problem with a President on Twitter its more significant to me what types of things he communicates on Twitter |

kinda closing off the media a bit and news story's
I don't believe there is anything in the constitution or laws that says the president is required to tell the media anything. FOIA is for everyone. even speak of what might be going on in our wars too
Do you honestly believe U.S. citizens are getting (or ever have) a clear and honest "reporting" of what's going on "in our wars?" he really wants to silence reporters and take that freedom of speech away from them ...
I think Obama just passed the NDAA that included a bill that does more to silence reporters than anything Trump can do; the Countering Information Warfare Act. I'm not exactly sure what Trump has proposed to do to "silence reporters and take that freedom of speech away..." If it's just "closing off the media a bit and news story's" then that's not really affecting anyone's "freedom of speech" or "silencing reporters." At best or worst that is just potentially giving reporters free reign to make up whatever they want without information, rather than skew given information towards a bias or agenda. do you believe he needs to continue this or not ...
Sure. Why not. For all anyone knows Obama was using Twitter constantly under a pseudonym during his 8 years of being president. should he be worried about breaching national security him self...
Probably, since his last name is not "Clinton." |

if the media reported the news correctly and unbiased then i could agree but they dont even after the email hack happened the media stopped reporting what was in the emails and wrongly accused trump of cohorting with the russians to hack the dnc never that i seen did trump invite russia to hack anyone yes he did say if you find KILLERYS lost emails i hope you release them but KILLERYS illegal email server is owned by an american private citizen and should not have any govt emails on it but this is not relative to the media they just jump to trump being in league with the russians to effect the outcome of the election and ignoring the fact of the emails containing illegal practices used by KILLERY to effect the outcome of the election she lost because she is a crooked politican that stooped to illegal actions to win and got caught doing it |

speaking of false news
the emails were CONSTANTLY reported on even though the CIA found no wrong doing Trump said out of his own mouth for Russia to 'find' Hillary's emails, which can only be done hacking and Trumps scandals were constantly brushed off to report over and over about Hillarys EMAILS,,,, Hillary may be crooked but Trump is no less crooked, just much less QUALIFIED and much more DIVISIVE and IMPULSIVE |

I believe Pres.Trump has it right, America First for a change. It's time to keep $American$ tax payer dollars in America, and let the rest of the world fend for itself. If every $dollar$ that left this country stayed in this country we would be so fat we couldnt stand ourselves. Its not the spending we need to curb, it's the 'Giving Away' we need to conern ourselves with.
|
|
|
|
The only issue with that is america does not live in a tunnel. We live 'in the world'. So we have to behave as a part of 'the world', not as our own unique one.
We build allies by assisting others and without assisting others, others will never be there to assist us when we need it. |
|

In the context in which you state your position I whole heartedly agree with you. However, the America that you reference is no longer, we are not the Super power that we once were, we no longer have a surplus of anything, and to 'borrow' $money$ from China to give to other countries is, considering our current state of affairs, almost criminal. The analogy I like to use is thst We are feeding our neighbors kids while ours go hungry, paying our neighbors mortgage while ours goes into foreclosure. We need to mind our own business, and focus our time and energies re-building this country. America is dying, gas and water pipes designed to last fifty years, are now sixty years old, 67% of our bridges are collapsing around us, our roads are in the same shape. Our national continues to skyrocket, while we continue to give $Trillions$ to other countries. American dollars need to stay im America for a while, and we need to focus on the continually growing Poverty and Oppression right here at home. We are a caring and giving people, and America will continue to be. We just need a brief 'recess' to get our act back together. People across the ocean are living better off the American $$$ than we are. Its time to keep American Taxpayer $Dollars$ in America.

What is not to like ... sumbuddie wear blind sea Hillary hasn't been pardoned. Hillary hasn't even been indicted or convicted of a crime. The FBI admitted wrongdoing on her part but didn't recommend an indictment much less a conviction. She hasn't even spent a day in court. The court of public opinion accounts for nothing honestly, and that's how it should be. It's not "guilty until proven innocent", it's the exact opposite. As far as the DOJ and FBI is concerned, she's innocent, despite evidence to the contrary. Dennis Hastert on the other hand has been indicted and convicted of a crime by a jury of his peers and is serving his time in the Illinois prison system. |

The CIA report said malware was involved. Without IP addresses, and they didn't list any, that malware could have come from some computer in Iowa. That server may as well have been hacked by some disgruntled Bernie Sanders supporter. It's quite possible it was entirely an inside job. But, "let's blame the Russians". Create a distraction. |

well, we blamed Hillary,,,,though there is no 'proof' she personally did anything wrong
the same source that condemned her is condemning the Russians people will choose which stories to take on as fact and which as conjecture,, we either have faith in our 'intelligence departments' or we don't,,,,, |

We are going through the most ironic times (dangerously so) as far as news dissemination goes.
At the very same time that all manner of people and groups are speaking out forcibly against falsehood and in favor of open communications, the exact same people and groups are working as hard as they can to prove the opposite is true for them. Trump lies openly about everything and everyone. Clinton (who is now out of it, so she doesn't factor in to anything any more) lied so much about relatively meaningless things, that she made it easy for opponents to believe all the obviously false lies told against her by the Republicans. The GOP itself is an alliance built almost entirely on the basis of lying to it's own supporters, while encouraging them to believe that only reports from Republican "approved" sources are valid (just like the left did decades ago). Worst of all, is the phenomenon where Americans side against the United States, in support of foreign dictators, simply because they have built up a personal hatred of a more local politician. And we of course, have the most famous of "truth tellers," Assange, proving just how incredibly closed minded and self-blinded he is, by completely ignoring both the source of, and the motivations of, the people who provide him the "leaks" he has so sloppily passed on. All laid over a news media business, which considers speed, to be more important by far than accuracy, and which has taken to "packaging" information presentation so ...industrially, that anyone who has something to say, now thinks in terms of 'soundbite' value, rather than factuality or wisdom. In this larger context, we have a President Elect who clearly has no sense of self-restraint whatsoever, and who proves that over and over again. Therefore , I side with msharmoney, that it isn't the chosen media that is the problem. |

She should have never operated a personal server for official business and 2. The FBI found nothing to incriminate, indict or convict her on. The same source that condemned her and the Russians is responsible for throwing this country in to one protracted war after another on the other side of the globe. From Korea, to Vietnam, to Iraq. That's all the CIA is good for. |

personally I believe he should get off twitter and stop arguing and ranting on others that disprove of him ... I do believe it plays right into the hands of other countries and makes us look foolish ...
by his actions ... when he is calling for less speech coming out of the white house ... to inform the United States... he does not know how to do a press conference...that is why he canceled the first one he was suppose to have ... This whole election was bogus ... and I opted out of politics right after ... but just wondered how opinions would go... with his still tweeting ... and his immature arguing on twitter with people ... shakes head ... thanks for replying tho ... |
