Ahhh, I would be one of those seeking 'friends.'
I came aboard in the usual way. I did find someone special (on another site). However, some of the friends (male and female) I have made on here are everlasting friends. Therefore, I am still here. Lurking in the forums, making new pals, stalking Jess from afar. The new man in my life knows that I am still here and has no problem with it. We are 'hidden' on the site that we met on. So, if it turns out to be a big thing, I will have my friends to cheer me on. If something bad happens, I have many shoulders to cry on. Hope I made some sense of it all.  M

I am here for friendship, if I were to meet someone and it worked out then that would be a big bonus. I've been very fortunate to make some fabulous friends, guys & gals here. In my opinion, a person can never have too many friends.

I think it is unreasonable to be seeking a relationship openly online because then you become a target and some people might want to take advantage. I am not in a relationship anymore and I strongly doubt that the next guy i date will be someone i meet online...but who knows I am staying open about things. It is better to be looking for friendship because that is usually the best way to get to know a person without there being any pressure to not be yourself. Those who hope to find a relationship online are probably shy or just not into the social dating scene. such as third party introductions and just flat out tired of searching and want to stay in their comfort zone. I couldn't have said it better, so I borrowed this. I totally agree. |

LOL Aint that the truth... fiddle faddle plenty and nuts around every corner... fall from the trees... walk between thread walls like ghosts... horizontal zingers that mimic fast balls at Wrigley Field...LOL... and that's before they are toasted LOL

oldsage, that is the saddest thing I ever heard. She is dead. You are not!! Would she want you to be a martyr for her? Somehow I don't think so.
