I don't blame ya.. I'm not going anywhere either..
we (luckily) had heavy powder only so although it shovels well, it isn't sticky or icy.. roads are though cuz of traffic and plowing.. we ended up with about 8" in all.. mornin' folks.. just a tad more shoveling today.. but the sun's out.. which means it's brrrrr cold..

I know your tough and all but have ya thought of getting a snow blower..
All that shoveling is tough on the body...
Here we get mainly ice then some snow on top.. roads stay icy for a few days then they are good to go..
I plan on going to work tomorrow its like 20 with wind chill outside now, suppose to get up to 40 today so it will melt some more off the roads..

actually.. I do have snow blowers.. 1 gas and 2 electric.. I just simply enjoy shoveling, for the most part.. besides.. it's pretty much the only exercise I have in the wintertime.. so it helps me get my steps in.. especially when it's powdery.. and no worries.. I take my time and don't overdo it.. but I appreciate your looking out for me thank you!
my dad used to say "what doesn't kill ya.. makes you stronger" and I need to keep up ma strength
it's freezing up here, especially with the wind.. brrrrr ma face is somewhat frozen
black ice is no joke tho.. and why I'm not driving anywhere for the next few days.. so be safe tomorrow.. we're currently at -4F but with the wind it's -14F ๐ฅถ |

lucky you.. we probably have another month or 2 before it melts here
but glad for you that the roads are better! you'd seriously drag out a blower for 1" of powder snow??? you are DEFinitely not a Canadian mind you.. the sun did warm up the air a bit here.. only -8 F.. didn't need my coat to get the mail!
*stupid keyboard added a "1" before the -8*

Humm if it was under 3" my happy azz would leave it hahahah..
But I live in Texas when we get that much snow it is all gone within 3 days and you would never know it had snowed.. Well except for all those Texans who think they can drive on Ice.. Normally we get sleet first then some snow.. This is our Winter ~~~ |

I must be OCD cuz anything 1" or more HAS to be removed
I lived in Provo Utah for a few months during the winter MANY years ago.. the first day I was there I was mind blown by everyone wearing boots, shorts and winter jackets in the AM and by noon, they were in T-shirts & sneakers cuz the snow had disappeared! I'm always surprised by southern states even having snow.. crazy when you think about it..
while most think that all of Canada is like the artic tundra and we live in igloo's we actually have 4 seasons.. summers are getting crazy hot tho.. with temps at +40 C (104F) too many days.. worst part is the humidity.. phew!!
last year I was thinking "where could I live where temps would be a steady 20-25C (68-77F)?" I found a place in India.. but not sure I would want to live there full time.. anywho.. our winters consist of snow, freezing cold, more snow, some rain (that quickly turns to icy ground) and the occasional freezing rain..

40+C??? In Canada??? Are you sure, haha. I mean that's crazy! Last few years we can get around 36C over here. Sometimes for a few days to a week but some years it lasts for over a month. Horrible as it's too stinking hot to do anything. I'm thinking of investing in an AC as it keeps happening every year nowadays. As for Canada... I've seen in the Mantracker series that many areas have an insane amount of mosquitos. Now I have seen a lot of mosquitos in Australia, but not nearly as bad as in some areas shown in Canada. A steady 20-25C... apparently there are quite a lot of countries within that range. Google comes up with Australia & Brazil. Now not all of Australia. Northern part gets frigging hot & is incredibly humid. The centre is desert and will get stinking hot in summer (50+C) and very cold in winter. Well, not like Canadian cold, hihi, but still freezing cold. But I gather the east coast and towards the south, maybe Adelaide area. Adelaide area was really nice btw!! |

that's why I changed the NULL (0) to the last letter of the alphabet.. "Z"

VERY sure.. gets really hot here in the summer.. and why I have central (forced air) heat AND A/C.. yeah.. skeeters are pretty much everywhere.. usually thicker in forested/swampy areas and not ALL summer, thankfully.. round here I do pretty well.. however in the spring.. blackflies will eat you alive!! those and deer flies..
then maybe I should head to Australia.. g-day mate Adelaide it is then.. not sure about Brazil tho.. beautiful people and country.. just south america can be a tad scary at times..
and yeah.. I'm aware that Australia has some wicked scary bugs and snakes too.. eesh lol |

Got bored & walked into this thread when the guests were leaving & negligently dropped my ignorant 2ยข worth in the key bowl. Now that you mention the "NULL" (that part which I am completely ignorant of) it comes into focus that there is potentially more to the tale than an old debater of numerical Cardinality carried in as a bias in his assessment of the context here. That's not an account locking offense, is it? Because I can edit it out before the AI-bot flags a digital packet it's told to watch out for. |

and yeah.. I'm aware that Australia has some wicked scary bugs and snakes too.. eesh lol You know, I've often thought if colonists way back when didn't regret having left Europe, hihi. All the wild animals, snakes, insects and chit that they suddenly came across in the new home countries, albeit the Americas or Australia. I've sometimes cussed living here in this flat boring country. Tried to stay in Australia, would've loved to move to the UK, was even looking into emigrating to Canada some 11 years ago. I guess it wasn't meant to be cause none of it worked out. I suppose I'm meant to stay over here. When it comes to safety from not having wild animals, snakes, insects and stuff that isn't too bad, haha. I'd pretty much feel like taking 10 rifles with me to go hiking over there, lol. Better yet, have a hunk of a guy with me who'd also take on the role of protector :D I'd totally freak out if I'd see a bear or a mountain lion or something, hihi. |

there are no cougars (unless you're talking about the women
) and/or mountain lions, nor bears or any wolves etc where I am.. only those in human form.. which is bad enough
I know some who DO regret leaving Europe.. just like I know some here that regret those who came from Europe
although sorry to hear you tried to come to Canada but it didn't work out.. one of these days I plan on visiting more of Europe, the UK, Australia & Asia.. hopefully when things die down politically that is.. |

Apparently even mentioning the AI-bot is enough to get the pac-man treatment. Or was it YOU Zee? If I offended I am truly sorry. I honestly didn't think I said anything out of line - other than insult a computer program. Sentient bot?
