Do the women pay attention to this any more? Whats your reaction? What do think of the culprit? Is this still around. I know my friend still has his car horn sound like that...

I didn't think anyone did a wolf whistle anymore. I thought it stopped years and years ago. It has never happened to me, so I don't know what it would feel like. It doesn't like a very classy thing for a man to do.

I have always enjoyed them.
The trick is to try not to turn around :-) |

Wolf whistle?
Do you mean like this?

eh! The days of them came and went. All it would take is one person upset.
With the music, air, phone all going at once. I hope the day of the horn will soon be gone. They are just public space noise and certainly of no use to warn another car.
Cars have lost the "fun" factor. Those days are long gone

I think the fad died out in the states when women started suing construction workers.

Don't think you can sue anyone for it over here ... but I must admit it seems to have died out just the same?
Maybe in bigger towns or cities it still happens, I don't know. I was/am never really comfortable with it. In a way you could say it's a sign of appreciation, in another way it's disturbing and intimidating. If it was one guy, but a pack of wolf-construction-workers? Where's the compliment in that? Sheer intimidation. And I think that's why they did it too, knowing they had the upper hand: strength in numbers. They prolly only had the baws to do it because they were with their pack. Maybe not such a bad thing you can sue them. |

Definitely not a decent appreciation of a woman's beauty, it's kindah insulting whistling like you are calling a whore down the street. Though it's nice knowing somebody noticed you, but no thanks I will never turn around for your satisfaction

A simple "good morning "or " have a great day " with a warm smile is 1000 times more impactful than a whistle

Humm the few times I had it happen I just kept walking and put a little more swing in it just for grins..
But now I have actually walked past a couple guys coming out of a building one day. And just said damn someone sure smells good, as I turned my head to looked at them both and smiled as they smiled back and walked on...
