I've had my license since 1986, and have a classic mid 80's muscle bike I ride. My ex wouldn't ride with me, but funny that she has no problems doing the poker runs with her new husband on his 30k harley. I have a close friend that she likes to ride with me and enjoys it. To me, it's just the freedom that I deserve after two marriages and raising kids, that I know the dangers of riding, but the enjoyment outweighs the risks.
But guys that are over 40 and going out and wanting to be part of the biker crowd, by buying a 30k harley or indian, are going to be exactly like my ex's new husband. He went after her and enticed her with his bike and vette, got her and unfortunately for him he is stuck with her bi-polar ***. It's not if she is going to go off on him and his biker friends and piss them all off, but when. Of course, he is enjoying having a 43 year old, bleach blonde babe on the back of his bike, but again, won't be so enjoyable when she embarrasses him in front of his friends, just like she did me. |

My mid life crisis caught me by surprise. Stainless steel finish. Top of the line. 4 slice toaster. I don't regret it. Until I stuck in a butter knife to dislodge the wedged bread and got an instant perm. I haven't learned much in my 40+ years.... .......BUT I GOT ME A KILLER BIKE BIAAACHES! You two, hahaha. Haha Crystal Pancho is actually the smart one....and that should make you worry. I ain't! Not in the slightest I do like to demand you two now post your biker pictures though Problem is that I know demanding something from a Taurus (Pancho) ain't gonna work ... and I'm not quite sure how to push your buttons So I'm just put on my best girl behaviour and say Please! Pretty please! |

Humm guess I see nothing wrong with the guys posting pictures with them on their bikes... Guess some does not realize that just as many older women are starting to buy bikes.. It is the freedom they feel while riding...
Plus even the older I get I tend to do the things I always wanted to and some things I can now that the kids are older... I would rather see people enjoying what they do if it is not something others enjoy that way they can at least by pass that person.. People that ride normally would rather find someone that enjoys riding just as much... If not it could end up a deal breaker for some... |

It depends where you live. I live in a warm weather climate and most people ride their bikes all year round and there are plenty of activities based on them. Also at midlife most have saved a little cash and have disposable income to spend on something that is fun,it really is no different then any other hobby. Come down to Myrtle Beach one year for a Harley week and see how much fun everyone has and it might change your mind.

Basic transportation. I left everything in Houston. Would you call an old beat up truck a midlife crisis? I bought one of those last year. Easier to carry the gear to work and back.

IF..IF I can find my old doo rag, I will post a pic. No doo rag...no pic. That's just the way it has to be. Sorry. I want to see the "doo Rag"... snicker... On topic, I actually look at it like this..When they are busy raising kids they can 't afford to have the toys. As the kids get older, more financially set they are the more toys they have.. Lord I am a woman that loves toys. I have had a few in my day Not any Bikes. but snow machines, boats, sports cars etc...And when I had them I posted them. I kind of equate it to I can play now and I am gonna... |

hahaha
well since I happen to notice this phenomena in the profile of the guys I see messaging me I made the observation based on men and bikes but of course, there are many women who also enjoy riding bikes and yes of course, I have also looked at more than a few boat pics, sports cars and snowmobiles |

I was not able to ride a motorcycle until after my divorce, since she would not allow it due to the danger. First thing I did was take my motorcycle safety class and get my cycle license. But I still don't have a pic of me and my bike! hmmmm this one I probably would have been guilty of doing..if he had gone out and bought a bike I probably would have had a royal melt down redheaded temper fit over the danger of it, the cost of it .. hahaha we had an agreement in our marriage whatever he spent at the gun show I spent at the mall for he had had a tendency to over spend so this helped him keep it in control I spent a grand on a 1986 Yamaha XJ 700, and for what and where I ride that bike will probably do me just fine for quite a while. Sad thing is that my ex-wife's daughter told me she went out and bought a motorcycle after she found out I got a bike. |
