I kind of cringe when I get mail, because I know it’s probably either a guy in his 20’s, or a guy in his 50’s. It will be poorly written, or written in broken English, and he's probably nowhere near Portland.

Well.. Half the women i've seen on here don't even have a profile.. Most of the men I see here don’t have profiles, either. “Hi” isn’t much to go on, and it’s not exactly a conversation starter. |

Usually,they (those who dont read your profile)are the ones who just want to hook up(^_^)v

I guess it depends on which part of their body they read the profile with!!

So far the most that tried to contact me have not even seen my profile, have no photo or profile themself.
And when I see the first sentice they wrote, I really don't open that mail and just delete them. |

It's a co-gender issue. Very few women read them either. I can understand why some people don't even bother making one. I've had several until I realized it wasn't the wording or the lengthiness it was simply that no one reads em. I've reduced it to like 3 sentences. It still doesn't get read and yet women are always shocked to find out I have kids. It says it in my profile and in my "about me". So yeah it goes both ways.

I am new to this site (this kind of sites in general) but I do read profiles/about me and will continue to do so... I think it is important.

i read all profiles ......when i realise she wants a white man n am black...all i do is move on
if she wants a rich man and i dont fit that...i move on...... i am looking for good conversations here am 27....but it is clear 70% females here are 55yrs old and above....n seemingly wont like me i think..but i cd use alittle friendship |

I'm a man and I don't read a women's profile, here is why, the most powerful words are not read on a page but said from the heart, in other words, when you ask a woman about herself you want to be in the moment taking in everything she's got to say, you want to understand who she is when your txting her, you can't know who or what she is by what she has written, but when she speaks about herself that when you get to see the most beautiful part of every women, hope this makes sense
