If you include a comment or question about something you read in her profile, that can be a good start. It helps show that you actually read the profile.

The last one that assures a strike out if the physical and lifestyle portions are empty. When I read these I think one of two things: scammers or total waste of time.

NO, THEY DON'T!! THEY JUST LOOK AT YOUR PICTURE.. I'VE 19,30,45,50 YEAR OLDS THAT WRITE ME. I'M 61 YRS OLD. WHY WOULD I WANT SOMEONE IN THEIR 40'S ? MY OLDEST SON IS 42 YRS OLD.

Well, don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I got another one today from a thirty-something in another state. At least she was in a town that I might have been to once, although it would have been decades ago.

And I haven't even worn my "Stud Muffin" t-shirt in any photos. (Actually, it says "Geezer--formerly known as 'Stud Muffin'.")

Don't bother reading profiles myself just look at profile pics and see if they are fake which is most of the time.
Only ones I read are from people in the forums out of curiosity to see which country they are from.

The keep showing me men in their 50’s and 60’s, who live in other states.

And other countries.

There are profiles that I don't read entirely, but those are also women that I would not write! Usually the profiles I skip over are devoid of effort or are have a negative tone.

Yes men read profiles. Maybe the AH's don't care or have the ability to retaine for the time it takes what you're going through, maybe they don't know how to respond to your needs for compassion and caring and a soft ear to talk to. Lots of people here for their own good and benefit, read between their line and good luck.

Yes, I read profiles. Every word and detail a woman puts in it. She may be the love of my life - and if she is, I want to know everything about her. I want know everything she is willing to share.

Pictures are important - we all are attracted to/not attracted to different physical aspects of our potential partners. But to NOT read a profile is just showing you only care about sex and not a relationship.

Plus, reading a profile can help determine if it's a scammer/fake profile. I move on from those and don't even respond.

I let my dog read the profiles for me.
He is good at sniffing out the fakes.
