After online chatting and emailing for sometime, you become interested enough to make/receive the call...then you hear their voice...the accent..the tone...
What happens if you didn't like it? what

I still put in mind that his voice is lovely as the tweet tweet of the bird. What the most important is who he is.glasses

I could completely understand that. I can just imagine calling a woman I've been chatting with and she sounds like Fran Drescher. That would be a total mood kill.

If it really matters to you then I say be honest about it. If it's something that doesn't really matter to you then who cares.

I agree...but of course...if someone articulates better with you reading than hearing...lol...

It's like being distracted with obvious mistakes in grammar, punctuations, and spellings.....

Tone and timbre but also how he speaks and his laugh could make it or break it for me

I never thought it would matter much, until I got this guy on the phone and he had a really high pitched voice ... So not masculine, he almost sounded like a woman. Lost interest on the spot.
Not a conscious thing, it seems to be a primal instinctive thing?

I'd never known till then that a voice could be a deal breaker. Although I had a similar experience with a man's laugh in the past.

It can work the other way round as well? Someone not so easy on the eyes, but having a voice that almost makes you joygasm... and suddenly he's a whole lot more attractive.

Crystal I agree..I was in mall once Christmas shopping and there was this man sitting with his teenage daughter and her friends and he was telling them silly stories to make them giggle and his voice was so warm and affectionate I was drawn to it like moth to flame

Long time ago I met this girl whose natural timbre was that cutesy, sexy, "baby doll" voice women use when they want you do something you don't want to do but know you are powerless to resist.

Three days later I was pulling my hair out, thinking:

"MY GOD! SHE REALLY TALKS LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME!

It is sexy and cute for a few minutes, but all day every day?

I'd rather check in to the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp and get the full torture package!

I had to nip this budding relationship in the....uh...bud slaphead

The only thing more unnerving is a woman I find attractive until she opens her mouth and sounds like a foghorn or one of Marge Simpson's sisters. surprised

Lol...so true...we noticed something about local male radio DJs' and announcers' voices...they are usually inversely proportional to looks... noway
