Topic: What is feminism to you? | |

If women must work, does it mean a man needs 2 wives, one to bring a paycheck and one to do traditional women's work? What woman would want to be the paycheck girl? no it means we must both work and figure out how to juggle all the rest between us. Exactly! My late wife and I shared the housework and the childcare. |

women still have not figured out they hold all the power...
.sex..yes.. that is your key to the palace.... .. men from the beginning of time.. have done.. amazing things just for the love and sex of a woman...lol .. if a woman was to ask her man.. .. if he could somehow bring water from one side of a mountain to the other side... so she may bathe for him... .. you can bet she would have water.. flowing in no time..lol .... |

Feminists got it all wrong, they should have asked for equal pay for equal work, they forgot to mention they already did work.

I do not know what it's like in the States..u.s.A..... but women here in Canada are treated equally.. for the most part.... I do not think women have to fight very hard for equal rights anymore... sure there are still some old holdouts.. dinosaurs.. that want to make women jump through hoops.... but they are slowly dying off..
.... another 10 or 20 years.... and who knows we might even let you be president...lol |

I think it's time for another feminist movement and I should lead them. Women are a bunch of lost souls.

I think it's time for another feminist movement and I should lead them. Women are a bunch of lost souls. Women are a bunch of lost souls? I know plenty of women who would disagree with that statement. |

Some women screwed us over, I think it was probably the only way to get anywhere though, as there was no way men would back them up otherwise. It took the support of men for feminists to get anywhere. I would have put my foot down and told those guys I would not get a second job, I just want to be paid for the one I do thank you very much.

Why does woman's work still go unpaid? This is so crappy, it's the problem. Slowly, the negative connotations creep out. As is the case with many words, it's all about the context. It can be associated with the people who associate with it, i.e., feminists. It can be used as a verb, an adverb, or an adjective, depending upon the action, actor/actress, or description of an action being taken. It can be, and typically is, used as an insult by describing action that is unbecoming of women in general or ideals traditionally held. It can be used as a compliment to those who wear it as a symbol of a movement to empower women and those who seek that empowerment. I have seen it used, perhaps incorrectly, as a synonym for lesbian. It is sometimes used to describe "man hating". It is sometimes used to describe someone focused on the essence of being a female human. The OP question is as broad as asking the meaning of the word "charm" without the context of a bracelet, nice personality, or magic spell. |
