He was teaching us how to pray Matthew 6:9 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. He says "therefor pray ye"... The entire beginning of that chapter is about teaching us how to pray. He wasn't telling us his father is our father, for if he were he would state "our father" when in reference to his father rather then what he says with "his father".

Plain for a layman to understand Sheik. I must admit, it has been many years since I've actually heard anyone as young as Yourself actually using the word, 'layman' or 'laity' or 'Lay-Class.' My compliments to Your 'almost obsolete' vocabulary ! Really, the last time I'd heard the words 'layman' or 'Clerical class' was probably while watching an episode of The Borgia.

Everybody but, Cowboy GH ! ******************** Matthew 26: 36-45 ********************* I beg your pardon? I've never said anything contrary to God being Jesus' father. As Marry didn't "know" a man, as she was a virgin. The only thing(s) I've said along those lines is Jesus himself, his soul/spirit was not "created". As Jesus is the Word in the flesh and in the beginning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word was "with" God. Displaying two separate persons. So when Jesus physically came to this world born to a virgin mother, his only father would have been God while he was on this Earth in again the physical fleshly form.

How much more must a Metaphor be abused? Nothing's being abused. Jesus himself is our father. It was the LORD God that created man and woman. And Jesus Christ is Lord. We are not brother's and sister's with Jesus Christ.

I express the teachings of what Jesus' has taught. Not saying perfectly, as I've made mistakes in which we're all aware of. And appreciate being shown the more correct teachings. Jesus is the "Son" in reference to "God". He is the one that took on a fleshly form in which is where he received the title as "Son". The Holy Ghost IS God eg., Jesus' father's Ghost. Thus why the verses in reference to the Holy Ghost generally state it in such a way as "God's Holy Ghost". Then verses later on just say "The Holy Ghost". No disrespect what-so-ever was intended toward this Brother-in-faith for having stood-in as a seemingly legitimate parent and husband to Mary. Marry and Joseph was not married at the time of Jesus' "conception". And she "knew" no man prior to the birth of Jesus.

bunch of bullcrap. A few kind words just don't cut it. Reminds me of the so called christian uncle I was telling about who liked to help himself to little kids and then dress good for church and brag about all his good deeds. Yet the kids still have bad dreams....

God is all three entities. God - 3 : a person or thing of supreme value 4 : a powerful ruler John 5:19 19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. That's why when it's in reference to Jesus it will say "Thy" God eg., "Your" God. And with Jesus coming to do the Father's will, thus made his Father his God as Jesus was obeying the Father's will.
