I've been reading as this thread progresses... Three pages in, and I am absolutely jealous, that no overseas scammers have contacted me. All I get are the domestic U.S. scammers. Scammers usually claim to be Americans traveling or working abroad. Therein lies the problem. The scammers (2) that I've encountered on this site, are Americans, living in America, and both claimed financial hardships. I never get the overseas scammers. How you know they are living in USA? your infinite wisdom in the month you've been here... |

Just caught another scammer, lmao. He's vanished now. Why do people do it, just stupid Everyone's heart can never be thesame. Yours is different and thinking about doing good while some are wicked thinking evil (Genesis 6:5,6; Jeremaiah 19:7). |

The place is not important, it is the heart that point you into the right direction as long as you love each other no miles can be a haindrance to both of you its the true love that connect each other.

Because the scammers have no IQ and are not smart enough to live in a normal working nation, this is why I don't fall in love with online unless I see and verify they are real. Often you can tell fakies by the terrible English and grammer in there sentences as soon as I see these I just steer around them no harm done

Too many on here trying to scam. I'm still waiting to be arrested because I didn't send money. Talked to the local authorities, I'm still laughing. Amazing how many fall for the scams Awww...I would definitely fall for Kitteh's scam...(already have 2 living with me LOL!) Considering what's going on now in Nigeria, plus the social/political ills in other countries around the world, I can see why so many are trying to meet Americans or Europeans with the hopes of getting the K-1 visa (for the US) & getting out. America is still the land of opportunity for so many others. The $$ scammers though...that's just ridiculous & you've got no one else to blame but yourself if you fall for it. |

yes I do not know why m2... just does not restrict access.. to the site from certain parts of the world...
.. if I was to take a guess.. I would imagine they are all bunched together.... I am guessing you cannot restrict access from the country that the scammers are coming from... without restricting... access for example! let's just say England...... it's just a guess.. |

met someone on here, she said she was from Tennessee we started talking I told her a little bit about myself, no real personal info but just things that have happened to me recently. one of those things being that my father passed away from cancer at age 56. all of a sudden this girl just stops talking to me (not that I really cared) but then another random girl starts to message me, telling me her father passed away from cancer and yada yada yada basically telling me things that eerily sounded like things that I had told the last girl I talked to. I immediately became suspicious as everything she was telling me sounded way to familiar. she just kept saying things that would make a normal person think "wow I really connect with this person". she then started to tell me how she worked with unicef and was a nurse or w/e on a humanitarian mission to Nigeria or something, which made me more suspicious as I had just seen an article about people wiring money to people in Nigeria they met online who turned out to be scammers. she claimed to be American but yet her typing would indicate that she really didn't fully know English as little miscues in her typing made me wonder, how can a girl smart enough to be a nurse not fully know how to speak English. not long after that came the sob story about her having no money for food and that she had over 20,000$ dollars in her account but the Nigerian banks wouldn't let her access it. she then asked me if I could just send her a small 200$ dollars and that when she got back to the states we would meet up and she would pay me back. now the whole time I was 85% sure it was a scam even before anything about money was brought into the conversation, once she mentioned money I was 100% sure it was a scam. nobody really interested in meeting you with the purpose of a relationship is going to ask you for money within a couple days of meeting you. my point of this article though is that I believe it was the same person on both profiles, they used 1 profile to try to get to know me and get as much info as they could, then used another profile to use all that information to try to con me into believing that I met someone who was just like me. seems like the scammers are getting smarter. be wary people and never give out any personal info. also both of them asked me for my private email and suggested that we just communicate through that as they "were new to the site and didn't really understand how to use it". I told them all you have to do is click on my name and go to send message, but they still were acting like that was too complicated and kept suggesting we communicate through private email, not sure what relevancy that has but it was weird as both of them said the same thing.

TOM-- Just throw the word SKYPE out there. They'll run away fast!

A lot of people must be doing something wrong. I receive a lot of mail, and send a lot of mail. I think 99% of the people are nice. Just because there is no connection, doesn't mean they are a scammer.I think too many people are paranoid.

People want instant gratification these days.
Smart phones and Google...... And everyone thinks they're a genius at everything. Good luck. |

It's easy for me. I know all the tech stuff. For some though, it can be difficult to process.
I'm glad you got her to ask about calling. Do you know the money amount she was about to send? |

Another thread read. Musta taken me an hour to get through this one (not the fastest reader on the block). My first week on this site was spent mostly on just checking out the profiles in my area. I was growing tired of FB, and decided to do something different. So I registered on M2. The next week was much better due to my checking out the M2 community forum.
Since then, I've probably got 25 messages from young ladies asking for my yahoo IM address. Amazing - I am so popular! I never thought that I'd be so "in demand" at the tender age of 55. Yes, these 30 year old babes are so nice. They speak such loving words to my soul. How could such angels be scammers? Certainly not. For it is I that they want. Aye, the senior stud muffin! A decade ago (or so), I corresponded with a fine Russian lady by the name of Katya. I kept thinking that she was actually some beer-guzzling trailer boy living on the Mesa. I probably wasn't too far off on that assumption. |
