Don't those scammers usually target the elderly? Those scams have been around for so long that no computer savvy person would actually fall for one of those. Once there was a man who tried to rent me an apartment before I visited it and said that he was out of the country due to some family emergency and would have to send the first month's rent to him via western union. Those types of scams, pretty much anyone can see them coming from a mile away.

Easy now don't give them any ideas....dang it's hard to be so old and demented on here, slaphead haven't decided which one of those 30 something's that message me each morning I want to turn my checkbook over to yet whoa
I am just auditioning them right nowbigsmile pitchfork

No one is safe from them, they target everybody, they wouldn't even look at the profiles properly anyway...
Here is a very interesting insight into this industry and how big it is in Ghana...just one country where these lowlife come from....

Too many on here trying to scam. I'm still waiting to be arrested because I didn't send money. Talked to the local authorities, I'm still laughing. Amazing how many fall for the scams

op ... some may be real ... but I have been on other sites but this one seems like they have a lot more from other countries... and if that is all you are looking for someone in the same country then put in your profile... I have put know long distance relationship mainly because I do not want to attract someone from another country... unless they have the $ to come see me ... their are a lot of scammers out there ... and I don't need that in my life ... I truly have always felt with LDR sooner or later a choice has to be made to be with each other ... and unless that person has that kind of $ to travel then ... I can not fall for anyone ...so far away ... I am sure.. if they are sincere... they will want to be with their family just as I do and be able to see them ...

Mingle is so interested in being International that they do not allow us to limit the distance someone can message us from, would be just a simple as limiting the age that can do it.

Just get smart fast, guess you learned fast the locals will do nothing. 99.9% of the scamers give it up real quick! The rest just ask questions that take a little thought, if they could think they would be doing something else for the most part. Oh yes gamers, they are in the games area of the forums this is reserved for players and scamers thank you.bigsmile See you are new to the forums, welcome, it can be fun and there is a larger percentage of real people here I think. oops The wink was for youblushing , they are nice here.

Hi there my name is Joanne I'm from Sydney Australia / I'm real and i can prove it

the only way to prove it is to pass "MingleTest" where you have to take a selfie while holding a piece of paper with the name of your favorite member of Mingle (apparently FOX) written all over it .

I've been reading as this thread progresses... Three pages in, and I am
absolutely jealous, that no overseas scammers have contacted me.
All I get are the domestic U.S. scammers.

there is no doubt that there are a lot of scammers on this site, but on occasion I like to lead them on.. play with them a bit.. have them believe that they hit the " mother load".. before I tell them where to stick the Western Union tracking number

Some of the responses are classic Lol

I never thought about doing that. Sounds like a good plan, go give them some serious hope. Maybe even make them think I am filthy rich and will send everything they ask for lol. Then I break it to them.

Scammers usually claim to be Americans traveling or working abroad.
