After a few months of being a member, I decided to see what the forums was about and threw myself in it...like jumping into the deep end of the pool...(hard to miss, I know... ) I was in a relatively rough patch that time...kinda like moving into a new town, for reasons that one moves to a new town... Davidben gave me quite an initiation rite... Then it was like entering a new high school ....looking for where and with whom to fit in... So... A mere couple of months have passed since the first post....I'd like to thank everyone who were really nice to me that time... And those who were less nice made the experience even more interesting and eye opening... and say that I appreciate the friendship, the acquaintanceship and whatever else in between... And I must say... I'm still learning a lot ... So I'm wondering...do you remember the first time you stepped in the forums...? |

Haha...Good morning little flower, you have over 2000 posts so you don't qualify for a "Welcome to Mingle" post ...I'll just say this...I jumped into the forums about 3 minutes after joining and made a complete fool of myself...Some things never change ...I'm glad you found us Miss Pansytilly!

Oh, I wasn't really expecting a welcome, that's why it's on general discussion .. I was just wondering if others eased into it or jumped into it and whether it was what they thought it would be... That 2000 some posts were done in a flash not my finest moment Relieved to know I wasn't the only one to make a fool of myself Glad you're here too miss Leigh |

Laughing I was blonde then and I wore my shades for ages before I let anyone see my face . I have never been shy about saying what's in my mind or standing up for what I believe . Some heated debates and several vacations in jail ., I am still learning ... Laughing .. But it is all fun. Lovely to have you in the forums miss pansy .. You are very talented : OMG! My shades are still up too Yes Blondey, you have a way of saying exactly what's on your mind... It scared the bejezuz out of me at first ... Now it's lovely fun |

Pansy, glad you are here
You are such a fresh wind, full of life I discovered forums at the end of November. First I was browsing topics for a couple of days and have to admit, I thought before that my english was better than it really was . Needed a bit of time to get used to the language, to understand many posts, shortcuts etc.(now it's a different story of course ) So I couldn't even expect that so many people would accept me in a way they did. I'm normally introvert and shy, but when I feel good and comfortable amongst people, than I can become very extroverted and show my real me. So, I would also like to thank you all, because it was all of you who enabled me to feel so good and free |

Omg it makes me laugh to think people are intimidated by me .. I am just cheeky by nature .. Takes awhile for people to warm to my style of humour and opinions ... some never do .. Laughing .. But that's okay .... I just make voodoo dolls and stick pins in their groin .. Lmao ...Can I have the recipe?... ((((((Blondey))))))...You had me at hello! |

Thank you for sharing. Sharing your emotions, love, humanity and the beauty of your mind. Emotions because at the end of the day this is what makes us human. Our ability to share emotional narratives we experience with others. |

Oh I remember what it was like when I first came into the forums. It was about 5 minutes after I had made my profile a year and a half ago.
Within 3 posts, was already being trolled and ridiculed. Very quickly realized, that you need some thick skin. Sometimes complete ignorance for those posters who want to attack and ridicule. |

hahahahahahahahahahahahah!! For months when I first joined M2, all I did was reply to 'Rate My Profile's because I did not know anybody and was afraid to post. I mean there were all these threads that had been going on for months, sometimes years. What if I (gulp) repeated something already said?? Ruthie was the first person to say hi to me, I recall it still. I learned to cut out the $100 words and use small ones :-) (People felt compelled to explain what I said hahaha) Then a day comes when you realize...you are a part of the fabric itself. Be kind to newbs!! |
