I believe statement of opinion no one knows who wasn't there, everyone has an opinion,, and inevitably,, some are gonna be right could be some like Mystical and I,,,

I also agree that its silly to 'ban',,, but not to do better at regulating More regulations that don't work. This is where you lose me. Doing something for the sake of doing something serves no purpose other than to empower the government even further.

I agree doing something 'just' to do it is nonsense I propose doing something to decrease the likelihood of deadly tools in the hands of unstable( criminal and non criminal) people

How do you propose we do that without violating the Constitution? Remember if my rights are trampled, so are yours.

I agree doing something 'just' to do it is nonsense I propose doing something to decrease the likelihood of deadly tools in the hands of unstable( criminal and non criminal) people Which in theory is a great idea. How do you propose we do that without violating the Constitution? Remember if my rights are trampled, so are yours. by placing more responsibility where the money is, money talks placing more culpability in the hands of gun manufacturers,,,, if they want to manufacture mass killing tools for individuals, they should bare the price for the killing they do,,,,,that would be a start for dwindling down the availability of a lot of the weapons used in mass killings' also more culpability in the hands of ANYONE who knowingly sells or gives a weapon to someone that is a minor also, mandatory training and testing before receiving a license,, just like with a car,,,, both the drivers test(shooting test) and the written test to assure that the driver(potential shooter) understands the laws and expecations

Knowingly providing minors with firearms is also an area where we have common ground unless the minor is supervised. I agree less as a matter of law and more as a matter of that's just common sense. Going after the manufacturers is a point you lose me on. If the legal product they manufacture is used for illegal purposes, that is not their fault. Should the Ford Motor Company be held liable for a Taurus being used as the getaway car for a bank robbery, or if some lunatic decides to drive his F-150 through a school playground at recess time killing dozens of kids? Or what about Louisville Slugger if someone misuses a baseball bat and beats someone to death? Stanley Tools because of a stabbing with a screwdriver? No? Then why is Ruger responsible for shooting deaths? Their products are not so people can kill people. They are for sporting and defensive purposes. Common ground is not impossible, but violating the Constitution is something I cannot tolerate. I swore an oath to defend the Constitution, and that oath has no expiration date.

On this we most definitely agree! There are extremes to every opinion.... look at ISIS, and Islam! Any right ends were another's begins! Our Govt believes they have rights that were not afforded them in our Constitution, and over the years have propagandized us thru media, religion, and education to believe that falacy. Our Govt has nothing they have not taken from another. Govt is force. How long do we give up our lunch money to a bully before we fight back or unite against our oppressor? We have grown soft and stupid living in a sleep state of govt control. Read the daily headlines!
