Topic: Good Try Mingle2 | |
---|---|
When I signed on today I noticed that under "Match" it now had a number in parentheses = the number of people who said "yes" to me. Of course you have to be a paid member to actually see the matches LOL! I think not, but good try anyway (also I know out of the 173 numbered that 100 are scammers & 70 are out of state/country or just not my profile specs, so I'm not really bummed out by missing the 3 who "might" actually be close to what I'm looking for).

Wow 173 I only had 34....Laughing hard now....I understand your point but it is a international site and some people do play games but maybe one of the three could have been the one. The only thing I don't understand is if someone matches with me why not just send a email?

... Or you could learn how to interwebs... Is that supposed to mean become a site development/web designer? No. I don't know C++ nor do I want to. I am well learned in watching the numbers in my bank account shrink and spend too much time trying to prevent that to venture into cyber-parasitics. |

I also have hundreds of new matches but nobody emailed because I specifically state in my profile that I don't give away money for scammer |

There's the problem, I'm talking about USING not building. I'm capable of navigation, and adequately computer literate. If you're suggesting there's a better site out there that doesn't have any of these problems I have to question why you're here with the rest of us who aren't in the know. Go ahead, let's hear your shtick pitch, phisher. Support the thread or use you mtimit kno of interwebsing. Go back to the third grade and learn grammar instead of flicking boogers and eating the gum stuck under all the desks. |

The only thing I don't understand is if someone matches with me why not just send a email? Yeah let's go with that one Chuck. What the OP said. We will assume the ones with high numbers are viewed as simple (if you will) They have a target on their back There was only 38 difference between us. As mine shows a -4. I hope it wasn't something I said really there was three different between us. |

I had 47, now its down to 43. I'd be willing to bet that we can't actually match with these numbers paid or not. My best guess since I read the message about the changes to come is that a few more privileges would be taken from the basic members, namely stealth mode and 'seeing who said yes to you (the numbers)'.
So basically no basic members can match with anyone since people who said yes to you were automatically made your "mutual match", hence the MUTUAL. Something else is mutual, we see the wool coming mingle, Save your effort pulling it over our eyes, it won't work. Either you restore the 'privileges' basic users had previously or lose us altogether and join Nabster in the list of defunct websites that went bust. We might not be paying you, but word of mouth is still your biggest advertising. Users, ever wonder why we only see commercials for Christian mingle and not mingle2? For those of US who aren't youth pastors jesus freaks or looking for someone fitting that description, this is where they lump us. Remember what I said about partnerships. I'd bet my boxers the two are ran by the same parent company. The same company that's screwing us out of our 'privileges' . |

Oh well, like I said, can't blame the site for trying to go for the $$. Someone has to pay these moderators & sys. admins. who spend all their time clearing out the fake profiles (or maybe not spending enough time on that task???).
But really, I don't think they are trying to compete w/E-harmony & Match & Zoosk now are they?? Those are serious sites & when I'm finally fed up w/POF & OKC & this one too, I might just consider a little, maybe, possibly, just - using a pay site, but never for this one. |

Yikes, interweb I think that was an insult, then again looks like you figured that out. Here is where the programmers really made a mistake because I always presume they are trying to improve the functionality and lure us into paying for the feature, right? So you dangle the carrot, number next to Matches, thanks pony by the way I feel so much better with my little number 6 now. All you have to do is run the find your new mutual matches feature which is still available to us nonpaying members, so the question is, if I have 6 people who said yes but no new mutual matches, why should I care or want the feature? The 6 obviously do not meet my search criteria so I am just guessing I would say no anyway. Buzz try again. Despite this fact I hardly think the changes made give reason to go running screaming from this free site, regardless of its flaws it is still the best thing out here for free, the forums are great and it is relatively easy to spot the scammers. OP as for paying, I have heard your first two choices are fine if that is your thing but warning your third (Z) is not much better than pof.
