i have been looking around the forums. my ? is do people joke around and say silly things as a way to hide how they really think or feel?because if you get really deep and express yourself in todays society, you come under attack.so tell a joke, be arrogant, proud and say nothing that is truly important or shows any concern or you will come under attack!

I think most do. I'm really bad because I wear my heart on my sleeve. I tend to pour my heart out here on the forums. Sometimes people make fun but I've found there are a lot of caring people here who are sincere about being supportive and helpful. I am who I am. Some like some don't.

I post serious stuff when I feel like there something I can add to the conversation, all of the rest of my posts are pretty much diarrhea of the mouth, constipation of thought and silliness.

You need to not take things so personally. If one asks for opinions, who knows WHAT will be returned. Long as it is on topic, it is acceptable. Simply ignore the ones loaded with humor if that is not your thing.

I think it's pretty obvious if you read into a post whither someone is being serious or humorous.

Mostly that happens because we surround ourselves with people we like being around, and of course that usually means they are of a similar consistency. They like similar things or feel the same way about topics etc. We spend our time with people who think the same way we do, so we come to believe our perspective, is the correct one. Then we come online and are exposed to people who are not at all like us. They come from all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, cultures etc. We discover that our perspective is just one perspective. Some folks freak out about that. They may even think people are disagreeing with them for the sake of argument, or to attack them personally. And may attack (back) in what they think is a response. Then some of them get used to it, and grow, and become a more layered, interesting person as a result. ^^^^^^^^^^ THAT,very well said KIC,

not that joking ruins my day, im just saying that with the condition of the world in which we live, its easy to say why things will only get worse, everyone conversation is mostly blah blah blah!

Welcome to Mingle truthreigns - it seems as though most have already adequately answered, but here's my 2 cents worth of blah blah. There are different topics and you need to see which suit you, your personality and how much you want to interact, you will notice that honesty gets appreciated and rewarded as does following the simple rules, just as with anything in life! There are some pretty amazing people here and you need to get to know them to see through the blah blah.......good luck.

Opinions and lines of conversation are all fine on this server assuming the mods allow it. You have to have humour because judgements are always made without knowledge of what aa situation might be.
