This site is riddled with scam artists poseing as lovly women....i got done!!! Laptop no longer works...also her (his) profile has been deactivated in the last few hours!! Isn't that strange...cant trust no one these days huh??

Most of us are to the point, we laugh at them and move on.

You'll get there too after a while.

Always look for the red flags of a scammer. I myself have been lead down that path.. I now play them like a trophy fish...when I'm done I leave them smoking.. Lol

Block them at the first sign of deceit. My blocked list is 3 pages long... and growing!

I would like to believe there are still some real people out there who are honest and looking for a real relationship. So, I plan to just sniff around until I know who I'm chatting with.

Scam Artist have been around forever, and are pretty obvious, in real life or online, you learn to recognize them. The best thing to do is just walk away, no contact!

All sites have them, I have also met one but now know all the red flags and am more careful. Good luck

Yes thanks i take all comments on board....no ovious signals sent to me..when i checked there FB page then i clicked...27 year old woman from new york..1 pic..no friends!!! But there good..5 min chat laptop died...i have seen another few dodgy profiles since then..oh well u learn from ur mistakes as they say!

There are men and women scam artists everywhere.

Discernment is key.

Don't feel bad, I think we've all been down that path a few times.
I wish I could spot them faster than I do, that's for sure.

Theres friggin loads of them!!!! When i hear lets go straight to ur yahoo mail to chat.."i dont like chatting on this." wats wrong with chatting on dis to get to no some1?? Correct me if im wrong.

Agreed..they are all over the place on this site, that being said, a little common sense goes a long way! I keep getting these messages from these 20 or 30 something pretty gals....Well with me being as old as I am, I know they are fake....why would a 20 or 30 something be interested in a man old enough to be her dad?...Just use your head!!!

Personally, if I can't interact with someone of interest on the forums, I won't bother with them. Won't go off site either unless I get positive feedback with friends I've made who have been here longer than I have and have already "learned the ropes" so to speak and have come to know the people on the forums also.

Yes ye are all correct...im on a misson now to find them and destroy them..ha ha..that cud bit me in the a..e thou.. Not much luck with the ladies today...im sure they are here somewhere!!

Am I missing something? Why do these scammers never try to get into Russia, France, Italy? Why do they want to get to the US or UK more than other far away countries? You never see them mention those other countries. Scammers ought to know something though, and that's that our economy is now really stretched. So even if they DO want to try living in the UK or elsewhere, we're becoming very poor as time goes on. And they won't be given free housing anymore. As they'll need a job, before coming to the UK.

scammers or watever u call those useless people are every where in the world and on every dating site out there..im in ireland at the moment..the so called lovly new yorker lady that i was talking to was actually a african male living and scamming from africa.....i googled her name and u wouldnt belive the info i found out..he uses the same name on all sites but changes the digits on every email and id he uses..and the pics of course...im talking to sum one from eastern europe aswell and i have my doubts there to.. I hope im wrong...yippee i just got msg now from scammer that cot me yesterday...this will be fun..if he has read my posts then im goosed.!

Well there is one way that I found to "weed" them out....In the mail settings menu, you can filter out people that don't really fit your "criteria." Being an older gentleman, I know not to many 20 or 30 year olds are to interested in me.....So I just set up filtering to block out younger girls.....I was constantly getting messages from this younger crowd, and immediately the red flag went up for me... I knew they were fake! Give it a try...worked okay for me so far.
