No, haven't actually found any real people in my area. Just old accounts never closed and a couple biker dudes who can't understand why women don't want to ride with them.

No, haven't actually found any real people in my area. Just old accounts never closed and a couple biker dudes who can't understand why women don't want to ride with them. THIS. So many guys in my age range ride motorcycles.. Doesn't interest me in the least...been there, done that in my late teens.. The thing is...if *that* is an important partof your life...WHY would you want to be with someone who can't stand it? Even if you don't insist she ride woth you..it will create friction. I'm sure there are a lot of women (from what I read) that like the things....go after them. |

The biker dudes, need to find biker ladies where bikers hang out. They never read profiles so no matter what I write they still hang around my page. But no, I don't give out my number until I check someone out. There are ways to do that, it takes a few conversations and some basic information

But no, I don't give out my number until I check someone out. There are ways to do that, it takes a few conversations and some basic information If they get too pushy about it..that sends up a red flag for me... Those are the ~same guys~ who get an attitude when I say "Ok, I'll call you"..then I do, and they don't answer because I have a unlisted number (land line), and it shows up as "Private".. HAD they talked to me a bit more online first...I would have told them that...but, darlin', I am not giving my number to *anyone* who can't have a bit of patience.. And, if it is just a ploy to "hear your voice, see if you are real"..they can doubly f**k off.... As much as I type and know about this and that...there's no way I could be a fake, you moron... (usually said by guiys who don't know where the major cities here in TN are located, when they have supposedly lived here all their life.... |

Sure, I give out a number all the time. Unfortunately for them it isn't my number but the number of the local police department. Wonder if they try to call.

Yes I do....here's why; where I live now there is such a small population that it's common for me to drive to Omaha (135 miles) or Lincoln (95 miles) to meet someone new. I fully admit to being a dinosaur and remember when phones were attached to the wall and we actually used to speak on them (like it). I'm a man and there are few things in this world I'm afraid of, none that giving someone my number are going to bring. I've been around the block several times (actually the world) and I enjoy talking to scammers. I can always block calls. If someone evil tracks me down by my number and wants to come at me, so be it. I'm ready. I don't call 911. I just have to question if there's a correlation between many people here complaining they're not making any contacts and a fear of phone numbers. I know you look here and see I'm in Nebraska and that's my only input. I've been all around the world for the last 30 years and I spent most of the last 20 years living in the Carolina's. No one appreciates the differences between living where there's huge population and very little better than me. IMHO maybe stop watching the ID channel so much and take a chance! Don't run out of time, "nobody here gets out alive". |

Be safe -- Never give out your number nor your location to someone you do not know well enough to trust.

It takes a lot of time to trust someone. I emailed a guy for a couple months, he lived near me and even in mail he was pushy. Then, being fairly new to the game, I stupidly gave out phone #. That afternoon he phoned me 3 times. Proposed marriage. never said anything really off-color, but wanted to "hear" a kiss over the phone. I told him he was crackers, way off base and different than the mail.
So he got mad and hung up At 10 pm he called and said he realized that he was not down on one knee when he proposed, but NOW he was, and asked again. I told him I was standing on my head. That all the blood had rushed to my brain and that is a sign that I should tell him NO and DO NOT CALL AGAIN. actually that was the end of it. Sometimes you have to act crazy to get RID of a crazy person. i dont give out phone #'s ever again. |

I'm a private person. I tend not to give out any details unless there's a good reason. Lord knows there are enough scammers out there willing to take advantage.
