i did know that and get the impression that is a reason we'd be movin on to iran in the not so distant future.

The main reason for the posturing I think!
Is because Israel is threatening a first strike, and the US wants to avoid this!
First because it is believed Israei could only manage to piss them off.
And then because it would draw a nuclear response from Iran!

that very well could be. i was thinking more of the idea to put the revolutionary guard on the terrorist organization list. i wasn't even considering israels role in it all. bush did send out a 40 billion dollar arms deal to countries in the area to try to keep iran from making any moves.

You know I think if we leave Iraq, you'd never hear any more from Iran! They just hate us being that close to them!

Did you know that we have nuke tipped missles capable of turning Iran into a glass parking lot from 10,000 miles away. I think at last count we had about 20,000 of them.

You should read the military reports on our ability to hit all of Irans nuclear facilities garden!

I know we have more nukes, but to hit them before they can get one off is almost impossible!

1) they have spread them out and buried them deeper than one strike could harm! even with a Nuke!

2) they have at least one nuke already (estimated, maybe two) It has been reported they bought the enriched uranium from N Korea!

3)They have guided missles and smart bombs now!

4) all their nuclear facilities are located adjacent to major population centers, so that a nuclear strike would wipe out 100 rds of thousands !

5) one nuke would not do it! To ensure we get all, and they would have to be simultaneous, we would need several nukes! This is why Israel couldnt do it by themselves! The US would have to!

I realize that we could do what ever we wanted, but the effects of attacking Iran with Nukes would be WWIII!

Why would we want to?
What would we have to gain?

don't know if any one saw it but there was news that iran is starting to cooperate with inspectors concerning their nuke facilities.
