Ok not really, only the congress can declare war. I got that as a text message yesterday and it invoked such emotion that I thought I should share it with you all. |

i don't think bush needs congress to declare war philosopher. they will probably relate it to a war on terrorism problem.

No I don't think it was that funny, like I said, I got that message yesterday, and it was such a shock to receive it, I thought I would just share that and see what others had to say. Sorry for everyone I upset with this.

But there are still some who haven't enough war yet, who would be happy to jump into the next one, but of course, it's not their ass in the line of fire, so it's easy for them.

On the other hand I expect he will attack Iran, sometime in the next year.

iran is next on the list. bush has already said that he intends to put the iranian guard on the list of terrorist organizations which is probably going to pave the way for a war in iran. my only question is where are we going to get the personnel to carry out the operation unless we pull some troops out of iraq?

i say we only go there if we get to hang another star on the flag later. otherwise, its too messy and expensive.

the pres can indeed declare war. remember that he is privy to a lot more info than the rest of us. we only hear the public service announcements, so to speak. He has so many days before he will require congressional support though. i think its 90 days.
