Obama Care is not Free!
So many people are under the illusion that Obama Care is going to be virtually free. However, they are dead wrong! Obama Care is anything but free. In fact, Obama Care is going to be very costly for so many people who cannot afford to pay. First of all, Obama Care system will require all people to pay for health coverage. Even the people who are not employed will have to pay the money they do not have. Any medical care discounts will come from the millions of tax dollars extracted from poor American citizens who have trouble making ends meet as it is. The worst thing is that if you are not completely poor, your medical care will be more expensive. Therefore, Obama Care will not be affordable for anyone. The poor people cannot pay for it, the middle class cannot pay for it, and the upper class will not pay for it because they will opt for a private insurance with more options. In conclusion, Obama Care will rob people of options and steal their money. There will be no benefit to this system whatsoever. |

"Obamacare" is (unfortunately) not free, universal health care
Just so we’re clear on this, Obama’s health care reform did not, unfortunately, grant universal health care access to all Americans. All it does is require all Americans to purchase private health insurance coverage, and consequently prohibits private insurers from barring someone from purchasing said coverage. However, the reform law does absolutely nothing to address the prohibitively high rising costs of health care; the massive profits accrued by private health insurers; or the ability for these private insurers to render health care virtually unaffordable to its subscribers through extremely high co-pays, deductibles, premiums, etc. In recent years, the leading cause of personal bankruptcy had been medical expenses. This will not change at all under “Obamacare.” In fact, the strong possibility exists that even more people than ever will be without access to health care due to the combination of a generalized decrease in most people’s personal wealth as a result of the recession, coupled with the tendency of the parasitical, private health insurers to constantly bilk Americans for all their worth. If the insurance companies are no longer allowed to legally bar a person from purchasing insurance coverage, they can certainly make it impossible for a person to afford to use that insurance coverage. In fact, they have an interest in doing so. As long as people are required to buy insurance and pay the annual or monthly premium to the company, the insurer stands to gain the most when people either do not have to, or cannot afford to, actually see a doctor. The insurance company isn’t billed by the hospital for any services, and the profit margins of the insurance CEO’s skyrockets. |

You forgot to mention the part about forced home invasions...er uh...inspections, death panels, and the possibility of children being abducted...again, pardon me.....removed from the homes of parents who fail to comply! Yes,those are coming too. What amuses me is that so many people that voted and believed in obama actually thought that Obama care was going to be free health care for the poor. Now they are finding out different. |

ObamaCare, formally known as "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," will impose massive penalties on young workers, small businesses and others who choose not to buy expensive health insurance, beginning in 2014. ObamaCare is the biggest handout by liberals to a single interest group — the health insurance industry — in American history. Even a Democrat Senator recently admitted: ObamaCare "cost Obama a lot of credibility as a leader."[1] On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court of the United States upheld the constitutionality of ObamaCare — by only one vote, 5-4 — as being within the taxing power of the federal government. Since then, leading Democrats have described ObamaCare as a "train wreck," and unions increasingly agree with conservatives that Obamacare should be repealed.[2]
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) pointed out that there are no redeeming provisions of Obama's health care plan.[3] AAPS observes that Obama's health care plan will significantly increase the overall cost of health care for a majority of United States citizens, plus reduce the quality of care that a free market system would otherwise provide.[4] Obamacare will soon cause havoc and harm to tens of millions of Americans: 28 million Americans will be caught in a "massive game of health coverage pingpong" due to ObamaCare.[5] |

Virtually everything you said about the PPACA is false. Not sure if you're stupid or just trolling. Nice try, though.

evrything he has said so far is pefectly true everyone knows you are an obama troll on here incapable of being objective. the plan does nothing to address the real issues and make healthcare affordable - it;s just an extra tax on top of medicare Again. Not sure if you're stupid or trolling. Poor people will not have to pay money they don't have on health insurance. Their costs will be subsidized. Medical care discounts will come from spreading the risk across a wider pool of contributors. Lower risks = lower premiums, overall. Of course, people won't be able to buy crap policies that were near worthless and were relatively cheap, so the base policy will be higher for those idiots who bought those, before. However, under PPACA, the insurance companies' profit margins will be capped; they're obligated to spend 80-85% of the premiums on health care; not overhead or shareholder dividends, for example. Bankruptcies due to medical costs will certainly decline under "Obamacare" since way more people will be covered, and by law there will be no more lifetime caps on coverage. So, for example, when you get a case of thyroid cancer, you won't get wiped out by the hundreds of $thousands in surgery bills. The notion of home invasions under Obamacare is a bizarre myth, from the minds of your favorite right-wing bloggers. If you're so sensible and objective, though, maybe you can explain the points or cite supporting information. |

Aside from all the added costs to Americans, the worst part of Obamascare is the power it gives the government. If you give power of your healthcare over to the government they control everything you do. They can control what you eat, what you smoke, how heavy or thin you can be, and basically what life style you can "choose" to live.
Unfortunately we are already seeing too much of this in the name of a "healthier" society. |

Unfortunately we are already seeing too much of this in the name of a "healthier" society. While the PPACA will require people to buy health insurance, it won't dictate which policy they buy. I don't know where you get the regulations on heavy or thin. Same place you got the "coming to your home" idea discussed above? It's still not giving healthcare over to the government, but simply mandating people get health insurance. Their medical care is still, as before, decisions between their doctors and their insurance companies. I agree, though, that this is far from an ideal solution. We should dump Obamacare and just get a single-payer system or just switch to a government health system. Those would be way cheaper, and our tax dollars could cut out the middle step of the insurance companies, and we could more directly address the costs. |

Single-payer system or a government health system is the worst way to go. None have worked to satisfaction in anywhere it has been used. Why do Canadians and people from other countries come here? Long lines and waiting list and unavailable prescription medicines. Not a good alternative.

Single-payer system or a government health system is the worst way to go. None have worked to satisfaction in anywhere it has been used. Why do Canadians and people from other countries come here? Long lines and waiting list and unavailable prescription medicines. Not a good alternative. You seem to assume that our current system works to satisfaction. It doesn't. Health care in the US is at least twice as expensive as in the next most expensive country. By satisfaction ratings, the US (25%) falls way behind England (43%) and Canada (57%). How many people do you think come from Canada to the US for health care? According to a survey, it's less than 1%, and most of those were for elective procedures (plastic surgery). According to the AARP, the wait times in Canada aren't that bad, and the waiting is only as bad as it is because they budget their healthcare that way. The wait times are not due to the single-payer system, proven by the fact that Medicare in the US is also a single-payer system and suffers no such wait times. I don't know why you think prescription medicines are unavailable in Canada. In fact, thousands of Americans go to Canada to buy medicine, because it's cheaper, there. Try googling "prescription medicine in Canada" and you'll see places to go. You'll have to clarify that point. |

Also you state only 1% come here(I know it's much higher) and most are for elective surgery. Well it's just about impossible to have elective surgery in Canada and I might add that term "elective" in Canada's health system does not mean just cosmetic surgery. I dated a woman from Canada that slipped on ice in a parking lot and was run over by a car. They took care of the life threatening conditions and sent her on her way with pain medications and told her she had to wait for surgery on her torn muscles and displaced shoulder. She waited more then nine months before she could get into surgery all the while unable to work and living in excruciating pain. People from all over the world come here for cancer treatments(some who are world leaders and can go anywhere they want)surgeries, and new cutting edge technology not found anywhere else. ObamaSCARE will end all that as we know it! |
