I think the reason most people are searching for love and discussion online is because they are lonely and they lack true love. Think of it there are men and women around you why must you find love here. Things has changed from good to bad the world is void of love. Selfishness,lack of patience,no determination,lack of faith,truth and understanding is out of way. Everybody want fast results. What do you think.

Today's world is not as Sinclair Lewis wrote about it in his alleged great novel 'Main Street', in 1920. Today it is not 'the American dream' but the American Nightmare for all intents and purpose the way things are going. Want fast dating results, try those ten-second dating meets. I watched one and thought to myself, what a great way to be totally humiliated...and people flock to those things...

I think I'm gonna throw my two cents worth in on this. Some may not like what I'm about to say. I don't mean it to be hateful or mean. Just honest of what I have seen in the past five years since I started doing this online dating thing.

Simply put, I think what I have heard on my local and national news is a bunch of hog wash. They say that more and more people are meeting on line than they are in person. I just don't think I believe it. Going by what I have personally seen their are way to many picky people that hang around dating sites. But, In all truth, I can't say much about the picky people because in recent yrs I have become picky myself. Mostly because of the fact that online dating sites attract some of the weirdest people I ever come across. With as many weirdos and sex crazy people that hang around dating sites,It's hard for me to believe that many find true love on any dating site.

In the past five yrs since I started using dating sites about all I have found are weirdos,goofballs,religious fanatics,other peoples throw away's and the down right nutty. It's enough to make you want to throw your hands in the air and give up. Which I pretty much have.

The only reason I hang around here is because there is no one close enough by me to date. All the ones around me haven't signed in here in months. Some years. Also,I like the forums here.

But those are the ones adding Spice to the Whole Scene while you wait!

Online dating is just another place to meet someone, and not everyone you meet, on or off line, is going to be the right one for you. How quickly it moves depends on the individuals concerned, and what they are looking for. Online dating does provide an excellent opportunity to really get to know about someone before you even meet them, you just have to take care at the beginning to establish they are not a scammer. Not everyone wants fast results. The bigger the distance apart, the longer it is going to take before you really start to know each other in my opinion.

Why would someone NOT want to be picky about who they date, whether they're looking online or in the outside world? Most people aren't going to date just anyone who breathes and has a pulse. There has to be some common ground, shared interests, something to provide the mental and physical spark. Being picky is good. I'm picky, and frankly I wish I'd been a lot pickier when I was younger. Might've saved myself a lot of hassle!


Trust me, there are just as many weirdoes and sex-crazy people in real life. After all, the people on the dating sites also do exist in real life. I've met my share of weirdoes in bars, at social events, even in churches. I was getting hit on by weirdoes on campus in college long before the internet was invented. You should meet some of the guys who tried to ask me out!

When I first started online dating I had just gotten out of a very abusive relationship. I had no self estem and i was very shy. the online thing appealed to me because it was safe . . A way to connect with out actually physically having to meet someone . . No one could hurt me or my kids through a computer screen. Over the last 5 years i have changed, and become a more confident person who now knows its ok to be me and to have requirements when it comes to the guys i allow in my life. Of all the sights i have used mingle is the only one i never deactivated and the only one i post on i love mingle and all its people. :)

1. Looking for Some1 in a Different Zone, 2 try Somethin they're not used to

2. They just don't have the Energy for Offline Search at dat Moment
