For me, It takes a while. I'm not one to fall a$$ over tea kettle very easy. I think I got some issues. I don't trust very easy. It takes some time to win my trust. Also, I've got issues with how the great majority seem to want to move to fast. I'm not the type that takes to well to pushy people.Maybe it's just me, I seem to come across women that want to try to lead me around by the nose. I don't take to well to that either. I don't take to well to women who want to try to tell me what I am/am not going to do. I seem to find a lot of women that for some reason unknown to me, Have just got to see if they can get away with trying to boss me around. They usually find out as the door knob is hitting them in the rump, Doesn't work with me. I've even had more than one to try to use sex to get there way with me. Doesn't work either. I think I am going to wind up alone.

I don't think anyone likes pushy or controlling people, some are just more willing to be controlled or less able to deal with aggression...In my dating experiences, time constraints or the lack of them were different for each relationship, but the progression was ALWAYS mutually agreed upon....When one or the other starts trying to force things, it's usually the beginning of the end... |

How easily do I fall inlove? Sometimes, easier than I fall out of it.
Love for me can be a long, heart wrenching ordeal filled with tears, laughter and those butterflies and melting moments, like with Sunshine. The guy that for three long years I thought I was in love with. Actually I don't doubt I was inlove, to the best of my knowledge of what love was at the wise old age of 15. Love can also fleeting, a quick burst of fire that leaves you cold as quickly as it warmed you up. Umlilo wamaphepha, as we like to say in my language. Gone as quickly as it came. Like I had With The French Guy Who Lived In A Tree. We've never met, and he doesn't even know I exist but for 5 glorious hours I entertained myself with fantasies of us meeting and travelling the world together. Then reality came barging in (life's always better in my head) and reminded me that we would infact never meet. End of fantasy. Enter heartbreak and slit-my-wrist music on repeat. I live to love. From ficticious characters in novels to the guy-with-the-long-arm who lives next door. I don't have a certain criteria or any sort of stipulations when it comes to this sort of thing. If it happens, it happens. I have yet to fall "seriously" inlove in my older years but I'm open to the idea. I'm enough of a romantic to still believe in Prince Charming and the notion of Happily Ever After. |

I tend to over-think things, and honestly I don't think I've been in love yet. If I think a guy might like me, I'll be friendly to him, but I'm always scared that I'm just reading too much into things. Then, by the time I've resolved to make the first move, he'll suddenly start ignoring me. I guess I just haven't met the right guy...

There really isn't a list of any specific traits I require to develop feelings for someone. If the connection's there, it's there. As for how easily... not easily, if at all. I've been in love twice in my life, with some minor infatuations in between that went nowhere. I'm an involuntarily selective and extremely complex person, and if I had control of who I had feelings for, I would have settled down with someone a long time ago. But, sadly, the few times I've had deeper feelings for someone, it has most definitely been the wrong ones, and it was harder to get over those individuals than I would have liked.
So, in short... I guess what I'm saying is that I rarely fall, but when I do, I fall pretty damn hard. |
