I never try to change anyone as I don't want to be changed. Simple rule; treat others the way you want to be treated.

I don't believe you can change other peope either. I have changed a ton since my marrage fell apart. But not before i got over myself. Then I could allow myself to grow and change. But growth and change didn't happen until I wanted it and chose it.

So I guess I would say if I am looking for this in a partner then I am looking for someone who is also over themselves and wanting to grow and change also. Not that I am changing them or even telling them how to change but the evidence that they are growing as a person is the draw.

I have met so many people who are still wallowing in ........ It. What ever their it is. I guess if I was still wallowing, I could find comparability with someone also wallowing. I would be incomparable with a wallower now.
