I think most of us have been cheated on at least once in our life time, do you believe men are woman have a more difficult time handling being cheated on, in my opinion I would have to say us men find it harder to deal with being cheated on.
I base this on the fact that men don't deal with deep emotions very well, then there's that pride and ego factor with us men, i am just curious what everyone's opinion is on this subject. |

The one who gave their trust and was betrayed is the one who takes it harder.
The one doing the cheating doesn't even get it most of the time, they're too wrapped up in their self to realize or even care about what they're doing, except for when they get caught and lose, and even then they're only concern is them. |

I was cheated on once, hurt like hell too, it had taken 2 years before I was over it, yet I have known several woman that seem to bounce back fairly quick, this includes cheating husbands, I guess most woman just expect that men will eventually cheat and are able to handle it better.

I think women are more likely to be culturally encouraged to be forgiving and 'stand by your man' kind of stuff
men are more likely to be encouraged to just collect as many women as possible who want to please them,,, I think men are more likely to find women expendable than vice versa,,,just seems to be that way mostly,, but not always,,, so I think it comes down to actual LOVE women fall easier and more often, as they are trained to desire that one mate where as men fall less often as they are mostly trained to hunt and be pleased by women,,, and love is about GIVING As much as taking so, yeah, Id say when LOVE is actually involved,, there is probably not much difference but women just tend to love more deeply and quickly than men |

IMO why would gender make it any less easier to deal with? Betrayal is betrayal. Men and women both have emotions and would have to deal with the future trust issues. I am really grateful I have never had to experience being cheated on.

Hmm being cheated on hurts like hades.
I don't expect women to cheat just because of past experiences. I won't cheat because once I make a decision I am happy with it. Until then I'm going to flirt like crazy! |

I have to say for myself I do not expect a man to cheat , nor would I handle it better than a man would. I think being cheating on hurts no matter if you are Male or Female. |

i don't see a reason or necessity to put a gender blame spin to this.
i've never cheated, nor been cheated on, although can we count drug or alcohol addiction of a partner? that sure hurt like hell and felt like betrayal. regardless, it's a terrible thing to have the intimacy and trust attached to a relationship ripped out from a heart, no matter the gender IMHO. |

I don't think it has much to do with whether you are male or female. When you give someone your trust and they betray it, it is going to hurt despite your sex. |

I think that's a bunch of bs. People will handle things differently. Not all women will handle it well and not all men will handle it badly. |

i think the person who loves deeper takes it harder... When I love I love all the way so it will definitely hurt me. |

Lorena Bobbit wins this for the ladies side. Not only do women take it harder, but they will also cut off your penis too.

^^^ so there you have it, and that concludes our program! ((goofball!))

But Lorena was just wanting the fringe benefits!

I disagree, I would think the majority of women would not expect their man to cheat. Nor would the majority of men expect their women to cheat. Why would you go thru life, expecting your partner in every relationship to cheat on you? Not a healthy view of relationships. |
