Topic: 3+ pages on a topic | |
---|---|
Some of the topics are so interesting but occasionally I will start reading through the responses and get tired of reading,so I just skip to the last page to comment...or sometimes there's just to many pages so I don't even bother. Anyone else do this? Or do ya read every single response before commenting?

There is a thread on here, something about 'Indian Princess' Hotel Bar' or somesuch.
It always looked interesting. But I didn't go in it because it was SO long, Part after Part, I found it too intimidating to enter a thread where I could not make an informed post, not having read all the others. I mean, what if you repeated something already said? So yeah, the long ones I don't bother with. Unless they are about nothing. They can be entertaining and you don't have to know what has gone before. |

not sure of the other responses on this thread (i skipped over them) but i read each and every post on every thread i read, unless i'm not interested

Kinda depends on the topic but, generally speaking....after the third page it is just a chat session that got nothing to do with any topic.
There are a few that are actually a good read but they are as rare as straight priests. :) |

Wait a second...you mean we are actually supposed to know what's going on in the thread and post according to topic? It's a miracle most of us haven't been banned!

This thread is too long for me to bother with

I do both. If it's really long, I may skip to the end. But, if the comments are interesting enough, I'll read them.

Just depends on how I am feeling and how interested I am. Sometimes it sounds like it might be an interesting conversation, so I'll read through posts to see where the conversation is, while in others I just only see the need to offer my own response and not pay much attention to any other. I tend to do the latter mostly with questions asking for a personal opinion more or less.

Depends on the topic for me whether I will read right through. But if I see a funny person who makes me laugh is involved in the thread, I will skip to their posts, copy and print them and hang them on my walls of my house, cuz I am CRAZY. ((Torgo)).

Depends on the thread and depends on the poster. Some you have seen so many times you pretty know what people are going to say. I like the funny cracks so sometimes I skim through just for those.

I try to post early in topics I find interesting. That way I can be part of the conversation from the beginning and keep up with everything said. Usually, a lot of posts are feeble attempts at humor. I ignore these and try to steer it back on topic.
I remember I once started a thread that went on for over 16 pages in just a few hours. Just as we all began to understand one another and agree it was deleted by one of the mods. I never understood why. There was nothing insulting in it. It was about a head game many women play. I learned a lot from it. |

Anyone else do this? Or do ya read every single response before commenting? I usually won't read all pages of a thread. Usually my response is limited to what was written in the past three or four posts |
