I live between two small towns in Ohio. If you like history, there is a lot of civil war and revolutionary war history here..Zoar is a town that has been preserved and you can do a walking tour.. I am 15 miles from Amish country and 12 miles from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, President McKinleys tomb and museum and the First Ladies Museum..Lots of winerys in the area and many good restaurants to eat at. Also 15 min away a beautiful lake that you can boat, ski or fish.. Downtown Canton has First Fridays and several concerts every summer and great fireworks for the 4th of July!!

I guess I would show people the mountains. Not special to me as they are just rocks but lots of people do seem to enjoy them.

Well, the first thing you need to know about my place is that there isn't a night life. There used to be, but that was before the local library changed its opening hours.

Since then, we've had to make up our own amusement:

- The Over Eighties Nudist Leapfrog team have a weekly jamboree where they take on all-comers at the town hall.

- The Dare-Devils Extreme Knitting Club project for 2012 is to knit a house-cosy for the vicar of this parish.

- The 2012 two-man inter-rabbi bobsleigh world championship takes place this weekend on the 'down' escalator at the local railway station, Station Master and platform tickets permitting.

- This year's annual Cheese Pairing Ball includes an exhibition of Au-pare Greasing and Gibbon Stuffing, whilst last year's champion, Mrs. Hilda Smogworthy, will be presenting a talk on the mating habits of the savage man-eating Pygmies of Upper Wigmole Street. (This will be followed by a talk by the savage man-eating Pygmies of Upper Wigmole Street, on the mating habits of Mrs. Hilda Smogworthy)

- Finally, the local college is re-running its course on Futtock Nadgering for Beginners, back by popular demand.

So as you can see, it's jam packed with exciting things to do, which is probably why I'm lying on my bed typing into my laptop...

What we got and what I take people to see are different things.

I take em to the zoo. The art Galleries during Artwalk. Remington's bar for live oldies rock. Several world class steak houses and outstanding Catfish restaraunts.

Other that it is more fun just to hang out at my house. Probably why I prefer traveling.

What Abilene Tx is KNOWN for...

The most churches per capita....(guiness book)...we got a schitt load.

The most nuclear warheads (Dyess Airforce Base)

The most guns per capita...(5.2 for every man, woman and child)

Oprah's old man is from here.

I don't like where I live. I would much rather be down south though.

I pretty much think the same about where i live. laugh. If it wasn't for lack of affordable housing, I'd have ran for the hills in a flash. shocked

I live in a fairly large city and there is lots to see and do.
Even a cracked bell eveyone loves to see. laugh Historial places and nice pubs. Some nights even fireworks. A beautiful park all over the city as well as music in every form possible. Many old bulidings too. A few real tall ones with pretty lights. One housed a lady that made a flag, imagine that.
My area I live in has a grave yard with many of the founding fathers burried in it. You can even tour it on special days.

I live in Philadelphia. Home of the cheese steak, soft pretzel and a giant close pin. flowerforyou

Hocking Hills in southern Ohio has caves to explore and great waterfalls, miles of hiking trails and beautiful hilly scenery ~ especially in the fall.
Photobucket is not cooperating, you really have to see it.

There are many lakes and nature preserves near me, small town festivals most every weekend somewhere, a lot of history, a lot of wide open country to explore.

The four seasons in Ohio is about perfect, I can't imagine living somewhere without all 4 distinct seasons.
