This is the only site I'm on. But, it's been suggested to me that I try other sites as well. Besides Mingle, what sites have you tried and did you like them?

I find this site well regulated but very quite on the Political Threads which I enjoy most.

I've tried other ones before. But this is the one I've stayed on the longest. To be honest, other dating sites are so rank. Nothing ever goes on, I never log on as much as I do here.

While I love this site as a social site, that's about all it is for me right now, as there really are no active locals. Okcupid is a site that I've used that has many more locals.

I used match.com during the free trial,
wasn't worth paying for after that.
I did the compatibility tests on eharmony
just for kicks, that was interesting.
I'm still on datehookup and plentyoffish
although I haven't been to either in months.

i've tried a few of the other sites as well but i been on here longer its more fun in forums on here then other places an got to know lot more people on here

I've tried a few in the past.
I'll say this about those services: When you have to pay for any part of the service, "RUN LIKE THE WIND IN THE OTHER DIRECTION"
Before you know it, you either can't send or receive messages due to one or the other if not both sexes have to be paid members for that option.
Scammers, dropped off members, bogus members or whatever send messages only to be outted for they are all AFTER you've parted with the green.
It's your call, and the way I see it any lady with a MAC 10 deserves RESPECT!

I think it really depends on what you're looking for. For me, I would like to find people to actually meet in person easily, rather than just chatting for a long time. This site doesn't make that very easy, as there really aren't many nearby.

Never been anywhere else.
Still can't imagine dating from a dating site.
Came here to help a friend get online.
Cannot imagine leaving, either.

How weird is that.

Do a search and see which ones come up in your area. Then do a review search of those sites and see who's rated them and what's been said.

What I will say is that having joined a variety of UK based paid and unpaid dating sites over the years, the only difference is how much I was paying in subscription fees at the end of each month.

I'd go for free sites everytime because the calibur of people doesn't change whether your pay or not. May sound cynical but in my experience, I have found this to be true!

It helps to be able to meet sooner rather than later. That way, you don't build them up in your mind to be one way, then find out they're not quite what you were thinking.

Everyone does things differently. You met via a dating site. There's nothing wrong with that.
