Topic: Is there a "before" the big bang?

My biggest problems with all these scientific theorys are:-

1, Earth is not the most advanced planet in the universe and I am sure, given all the circumstantial and anecdotal evidence, that we are not alone. In fact it's my belief that we are actually fairly low on the intellectual food chain.

Right, we are not at the top of the food chain even here on earth.
[/

2, Scientists seem to be so wrapped up in having to power to prove this theory or that theory that they never stop to wonder if they have the right. Also they are quite limited in their application of physics in that they fail to understand the true meaning of " Every action has an equal and opposite reaction" Surely it follows that Every state has an equal and opposite state. If this is so then in the matter of quantuum physics / mechanics where we have a continuum of space moving through time surely the opposite is time moving through space. Everything must have a balance within this octave of density.

3, Not enough credence is given to methods of seeking answers spiritually simply because spirituality is not provable. There are many more things to existence than meet the physical eyes but if we learn to use the third eye properly then alternatives may be seen.

4, Anyone who thinks or discounts out of hand, the possibilty that a superior race has not found and 'interfered' with the growth and evolution of this planet is fooling themselves. If our scientists cant leave well enough alone what they shouldn't be touching then you can bet your bottom dollar that the greater intellects of 'aliens' (for want of a better word) would have done the same in respect of us.

Just food for thought happy

There are scientists who are attempting to create life from chemicals as we speak.

We are learning to be creators.

We are destined to be Gods.

i hardly think that would qualify anyone as a god...

That would depend on what the qualifications are.

If we created a new race of beings we might be considered to be their Gods.

Let us create them in our image. happy

Earth IS not the most advanced planet in the universe

Oh,I see!!Then which on is that?

rofl rofl Very funny

Completely agreed wit this.

Ancient indian philosophy says " VISHWA KA NIRMAN SHUNYA SE HUA HAI"
meaning WHOLE UNIVERSE IS CREATED THROUGH ZERO.

Easy to think
Hard to believe

do you really think everything in the universe was created in a fraction of a second?... same theme as the bible, only without god...
i agree, it is a silly sounding theory...

I think you better read up on it,and then comment on it!
It doesn't state anywhere that EVERYTHING in the Universe was created in that Moment!slaphead

They can accept it at any age but they usually start believing it after about two years of college physics. Since Hubble proved the universe was expanding it's not much a reach.

Since AT&T discovered the background radiation, it's almost been a given.

Since NASA mapped the aftereffects of the Big Bang with the newer satellites it is generally accepted by virtually everyone who has any type of science education.

Yeah, its interesting how Christians are often so opposed to the big bang. Of all the theories we have ever had which were at all consistent with the evidence, the big bang is one of the ones most favorable to a creator.

And yet, the Christians reject it.

I think the problem here is you guys have a different idea of what 'everything' means. One of you seems to mean "Everything that currently exists, in its current forms", and the other seems to mean "the totality of all mass and energy in the universe, from which everything that currently exists derived".

You are both right.
