Cabbage, onion, and egg noodles sauteed clear with kielbasa sausage. Lady fingers for dessert. Pastries stuffed with apricots. ......hungry now....... |

Mom's chicken mole poblano. I took the recipe to culinary school and modified it for our competition class. Still make it once a month usually.

Well my mom always cooked fresh like whatever vegetable was in season like fresh peas (I hated them, like them now though) homemade mashed potatoes instead of instant, so my favorite food was the school cafeterias instant mashed potatoes, with canned peas, instant gravy and this biscuit like thing that had canned meat in it yum!

I could add to this if it was stuff I couldn't stand. My mother wasn't the world's best cook, and my father had the worst food preferences imaginable. He would put milk in anything.

The ukrainian versions of all of the above! plus, homemade french fries and nylesniky (blintzes). Fortunately, I learned to cook most of the recipes Baba's way, so I don't go hungry. |
