Knee pads....trust me on this or ask my brother...I can skate like a mad man but, the sound of knee caps hitting concrete at about 20 miles an hour still gives me the heebie jeebies. Wrist guards are a good idea too if you arent any good at falling.

Somebody stop me! Just bought roller blades, this may not end well. A few weeks ago I used the words "lost my mind" and it meant I bought a new refrigerator and microwave. Roller blades sound pretty tame - unless they come with a trip to the ER! Krupa's advice is good...suit up, dude! And STILL be careful!

Forgot to buy bubble wrap and the knee pads are too small

Use the knee pads on your elbows and when you fall, try not to land with your wrists. Seriously. We used to play ghetto indoor roller hockey as a young man. Falling happens. Just find a nice smoothe place to get used to them.

Don't sweat it about them moving the posts Kiwi. Ithappens to everyone at first. It took me a couple of years to understand thier forum criteria but, They do a really good job at keeping things organized.

There are a lot of people here blading,that is what gave me the idea. It has been 10 years since I last strapped some on. Guess what! I forgot to duck going out the door!!

So they move it for you. No big woo :-) Now if you don't like the extra attention, you must learn where to put your stuff :-) Then tell me.
