We have to obey the laws of the land. It doesn't mean we have to agree with them. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. I got stopped for having no insurance papers once even though I had insurance. They call it proof of insurance. Once before the state police pulled me over and just called it in to verify that I had insurance. He then let me go. But the last time I was pulled over by the county I had insurance papers but didn't find them in time. I went to court as the paper said I had to. I paid the $30.00. The judge said that they used to not have to require proof of insurance because the county police would call it in. The judge said that once they had me on their records it could be used against me again. Of course, that violates illegal search and seizure. At one time unmarked police cars were grounds for entrapment. At one time insurance wasn't mandatory. At one time not wearing seat belts wasn't against the law. If one goes back in time far enough may even found there were no lawyers. And people say there was no such thing as evolution.rofl

Seatbelts ...........another $$$$$$ law. whoa

For you all worried about being stopped and checked for something you may not have, why not just make sure you have what's required in order to drive?

chips would be a bit extreme

requirements for driving a two ton vehicle at and besides others driving two ton vehicles seems kind of logical and reasonable to me,,,

requiring id just to be IN PUBLIC would be another extreme

requiring proof that you have been validated as someone who understands the signs on the road, or proof that if you cause an accident or are in an accident you can contribute towards repairs

is another logical and reasonable request,,,

I only made it through the first page of this whining crap.

Keep your papers in order and stop comparing all this to the holocaust.

Only two members of my blood survived Buchenwald and Aushwitz. THEY got the right to ***** about the Nazis.

This is the last time I am gonna bother reading your crap dude.

(at least in Texas) you don't have to carry ID to walk, etc. But if you get pulled over (suspected in a crime or something) then you do have to prove who you are. Cops can search you by the name you give but it's quicker to show an ID or DL

However, I've never had a problem with them taking either my SSN or DL, because I have it memorized.

I think I forgot my ID once. It was creepy, I felt naked, and not in a good way.

Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Preamble

---------------------------------------------------------

it is unreasonable to stop someone for just driving down the street and not breaking any rules of the road just so they can force you to give a portion of your body to see if you have been drinking which qalso violates this from same site

---------------------------------------------------

Amendment 5 - Trial and Punishment, Compensation for Takings. Ratified 12/15/1791.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb;

nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself,

nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

-----------------------------------------------------------

forcing you to give a part of yourself (blood or breath) is forcing you to be a witness against yourself
