Faux News is dumbing down people because stupid people are easier to influence. The poll is as accurate as any other. Which is really here nor there on this one. If any amount of Americans believe this they are very ignorant and that is a concern to all. Ok this is me officially questioning your intelligence. Why don't you start asking people you know who watch Fox if they believe Santa is real and see how close to 24% you get. I agree with the sentiment , but not the advice, as people gneerally know and hang around those of like minds for instance, I could show statistics on black males in jail, even though I dont personally know ONE of the black males ,,,it doesnt mean the statistics are wrong,,,, That would make since except we are talking about viewers of a program. They wouldn't really hang around each other. Again I would argue there are not enough adults that believe in Santa to even = 24% of fox's viewership. LOL I think ya missed my point,,lol, but thats ok I would contribute that depending upon how exhaustive the survey (and this one seemed to have ALOT of questions) , the more data there is to go through in any report or job actually, the more opportunity there is for people to merely 'check the wrong box' questions that have yes and no answers can often lead to this type of mistake, particularly if there are a long string of yes answers or no answers at a time,,, I dont find it hard to believe at all that 24 percent would check yes,,even if they didnt believe it,,, because they werent REALLY paying attention to the question or to what they were checking at that point,, I see your point now. Not to mention we don't know how the original question was worded. Maybe they asked if they thought Santa was based off a real person. (such as Saint Nicolas who was a real person). If they then marked yes they might say that "people think santa is real" |

I am not doing a poll and the majority here makes no difference to the validity of the poll. There are threads in the political forums that prove this poll correct at many levels. That validates the poll. No matter who votes against it, it is still validated on this site. I wouldnt not consider people that come to this site an accurate representation of anything but the people on this site. I can't say I have an accurate representation of African American women because Msharmony posts on this site. nothing but love Msharmony just trying to get a point across i hope you don't take offense) There are about 1-2 dozen or so people that make up the political forum for the most part. You actually think those are enough numbers to represent any demographic? Not to mention the type of people who post in forums tend to be a little different than average America. |

I guess no one here verifies the sites that these things come from though....
The site is like the ONION.... I was waiting for someone to verify the information from the site....lol And sadly what I said about people on this sight believing some of what was on the fake poll is still true though... There are those on this site who make the false roast poll true....lol Craziness...huh? |

Actually they are inaccurate. Some are invalid. All real polls show a "margin of error" which can itself be inaccurate but gives a built in level of inaccuracy based on the size of the sample taken. There is so much psychology in the wording of the questions and the "analysis" of the results, you can make a poll say whatever you want it to say. A good example is the question "Do you believe in Santa Claus? given to a group who had just exited a class on Saint Nicklaus. The question can be worded in several ways and preceded by other questions to "load" the question which get used to get vastly different answers. But all can be used to show how stupid people are for believing a myth or how educated they are for knowing the history of the actual person upon which the myth was based. Interestingly, a poll of main stream media asked, a few years ago, about the quality of Fox News. The liberal newspersons universally agreed that Fox had quality news programing but Fox's opinion programs were slanted right wing. But what you usually hear is that the news itself is slanted. |

I hate the way Rihanna is allowed to influence young children. I feel sick to my stomach if i see a child singing that 'S&M' song. I have two very young sisters, so i just get really worried for them. And Lady Gaga ain't a good influence for kids neither. Shouldn't these types only be on tv after 9pm? Don't want my sisters turning like them.
