Yes, infinite forms of living things arise from the dna found in star dust.

Given the information within the dna, and within this star dust, life that arises from that can certainly appear to be 'random' but where did this information for life come from? MHO: It comes from the universal field. It is an intelligent living field.

When scientists can explain HOW life can evolve from something dead without information contained in DNA (the design for life) then I will listen.

then you will listen??? but you've already come to your own conlusion, have you not? did you not listen to somebody to form that conclusion or did you do your own dna research? in my learning of dna structure, i've never come accross the term 'star dust.' explain please?

well, jeannie, i'll put up my knowledge about the complex structure of dna up against all but the phd's that work with the stuff, that's how much i've studied the subject. rank amature that i am, i've definately not concluded that it is impossible for life to be a random occurance nor do i think any of those phd's have come to such a conclusion. infinite forms of living things???

And you'd be wrong to do so.

we'll see, won't we?

I believe people often trivialize other's profession in an attempt at self-aggrandizing. DNA is incredibly complex stuff and we are making new discoveries every day. I can't imagine how large someone's ego would have to be in order to think his self-study (presumably on the internet) was the equal of a PHD working on cutting edge research.

Yes of course I will listen.

I get my 'information' not from one source but from many sources. I am no DNA expert. I come to conclusions not from any single source. I am capable of listening to anyone who feels they have good information.

I just googled and found something for you in answer to your question about comets. (star dust)

The idea and expression that we all come from "star dust" has been around for a long time. Comets are considered 'stars' or pieces of stars.

The concept of life being a cosmic phenomenon is rapidly gaining support, with new evidence from space science, geology and biology. In this picture life on Earth resulted from the introduction of bacteria from comets, and the subsequent evolution of life required the continuing input of genes from comets.

However, the "bacteria" detected in comet dust is not the full story. If approached from a strictly scientific point of view it could fall flat on its face. The rest of the story must get down to the quantum level of tiny unseen particles and waves and vibrations. Vibration is the language of DNA.

that would be one large ego and yes, trivializing another's profession in an attempt at self-agrandizement is pathetic, indeed. i would never even begin to imagine that my self-study, not done on the internet, might even come close to the equal of a phd working on cutting edge research. yep that guy you speak of who claims his internet study somehow equals those phd's sure must be a real piece o work huh?

jeanie, it was you who infered that you would not listen until science shows how life can evolve from something dead. as for comets being 'considered stars, or part of them', who makes such a consideration? i've seen no physicist or astronomer say that comets are anything like a star. as for the rest of your post and references, i've my own source reading available to me with little enough time to read it all much less read all that you might post here.

Then you need to keep up with some of the new findings perhaps. I was simply responding to your request for me to "explain please" about the term "star dust" and comets etc.

If you don't want to take the time to follow the link I give, then don't ask the questions.

And it was someone that provided all that energy, but who??,

Why is it so difficult to believe that it all happened randomly?

If you know even a little about the complex structure of DNA you will conclude that it is impossible for life to be random. It has to be by intelligent design. The designs are in the DNA which has the ability to take inanimate non-living 'stuff' (star dust) and manifest infinite forms of living things.

I actually DO know a little bit about DNA, and to my knowledge, it has only 4 building blocks, 5 if you count RNA. Granted these building blocks are fairly complex chemical compounds, and repeated a staggering, but finite number of times. Like all chemical compounds though, they in turn are assembled from atomic building blocks. The atoms are behaving the was atoms are expected to behave and the chemicals are behaving the way they are expected to behave. How does this make things "impossible to be random?"

I have no idea what or whose expectations you are talking about or how they arrived at those expectations. Life manifests by design out of dust. That design is in the DNA. Even if it appears "random" it is still a design. Hence, implies a designer.

well then nevermind i guess. but i was debating with you, not the author of some internet link who's not here for me to challenge. i'll take your referencing a link as you simply cannot explain star dust yourself. which is fine of course as many here reference links when because the don't understand the material themselves.

not a problem. misreads happen and for that i apologize often. but one thing i never need apologize for is suggestive personal innuendo about other people's egos and self agrandizing. and of course i'd never ever assume where a poster does his/her research. just too easy to be dead wrong and i hate being dead wrong.

I referenced the link as a sample or example to show you. I know you can do your own google searches if you want to know about stardust.

When I see someone talking about something I don't know anything about, I do searches to learn about it.

When the so-called "big bang" emerged from the void and created dust and gas and what ever... that's "star dust."

The stuff in the tail of comets... that's "star dust."

It's an expression, not a technical term.

However they are saying that the dust from comets could be what brings the stuff of life to planets and gives off the same spectral signature as bacteria.

The earth itself spits out bacteria and living organisms from the bottom of the ocean floor which in turn has enough DNA to create an infinite numbers of living critters.

The design for life is in the DNA. This DNA comes from the universal field. It is everywhere. It is the design. Where then, is the designer?

well and good. when i see someone talking about something i don't know anything about, i don't enter the conversation. but i don't gain learning from internet sources and most certainly not from dating site forums. some think me disadvantaged that i make little use of the internet for anything other than entertainment and amusement, but hey..............

I used to spend a lot of time at the Library in Colorado Springs but when I moved to a small town I had no decent Library. The Internet became my Library. It has become even better than a large library.

I get the news sometimes two days before it appears on television. I learn amazing things, meet amazing people. I don't use it for entertainment or dating really. I use it to escape the confines of a small town and my house where I am home bound because I take care of my father who needs 24 hour care.

I would probably get a lot more stuff done without the internet but it is the only way I can get out of the house.
