To you BOTH,,Thanks for the kindness.... 'tis true... our figuring simply runs us in circles... and not harp on praise and such... I myself resisted those things when I dabbled in art... but you do well Terry, you present in a style "laid open and bare"... and it appeals to me. I just wanted to get that out... I wish the best in all you do. (I'll let someone else queue the violins, haha.) Just a toast brother... |

Oooo how did i miss all these new writes!!!! are you putting all in here now? i don't want to miss your beautiful words!! Thank you, I started a thread with some of mine...just to see how it would take. Terry has been sweet to respond and share some of his. A new gal shared a couple. Haven't seen her for a bit. She has a beautiful way with her voice. I love anyone to take a peek..just has become easier for me to keep myself together..hahahaha |

click and I am...
gone...? It's safe to stand at a distance behind lines drawn on sandy shores disappearing It's easy to ignore civility, accountability for no other reason except you can. A pervasive mist settles in this room. Perhaps an obvious excuse in question, Are we real? Does it matter? Does feeling and pain exist for more than just the executioner? A few words do not a muse... make? know? Click and... SadieLu 2011 |

she loves to feel the breeze
Humid humanity spread across in layers of cotton dinged and faded sheets. The first thing to see. The last, forced smile... waiting. Waiting for, even the stagnant air to move, quiet pleas to welcome something, just not this. There were angels, there had to be who else could the silence converse with? Retching kindness, vowed in extrapolated sequences, promises turned and cleaned away fresh sheets, a cool compress, as pain assisted his movements. merciful gentle kiss on the forehead. She said my "good bye", excused me while I finally slept."Love you , Daddy. It's time." Her birthday is soon. Wonder what she will think of this year. I hope the wind whispers something, sweet. It is my desire that these writings would somehow reach into those who read. Your appreciation speaks that to me. This is about my daughter and the death of my husband. This time of year brings up tenderness. Thank you for reading and sharing a part of your heart, it is always welcomed. |

Of Glass
Spent moments, a prelude to a confession meandering through winding remainders of forgotten memories now, a pittance value. Cobalt, turquoise, greens, vintage rose, a few pieces of carnival antique. Pretties placed in the window along the sill to catch outside vistas through muted, opaque and clouded. Water stains of etched rings, reminiscent in fades of light through dust gathered prisms, impervious hopes of someday, still, of re purpose and relinquished dreams of youth's sweet intentions. Simple, this muse. Of my collection of glass... brown is the color that stands out. SadieLu 2011 |

there once was a girl
I waited for the last strand to leave my womb. the final moment where I could say, yes, a child, born. my child, obvious sweet oblivion, anticipation. how long will it take to hear the cry? to know that all this retching and pulling strain and surge is done. I waited. Amid the scurry and hushed tones, there was a silence forming in pent up tears, soiled doubts, swabbed and soaked, no cry. NO CRY...no cry. I have always felt SHE... was though I could not hear her sweet whimper, hold her close to my breast, she has never left my heart. SadieLu 2011 In submission and open vulnerability, you have been given opportunity to view this woman. She has now closed the door and pulled the blinds. |

Tiny tiny, bubbles,,,locked inside since its birth to be born.
Many shades of colors to gaze through, now they all remind me of you For in their complexities their beauty now laying still, to adorn. Like treasures of past down inheritance, hiden, gaurded so true. Each their own time and place to have been labled and made. Their tiny cracks, and fine little chips.. still so pure of heart. For they have stood their test of time, all their deposits paid. For I know you must love them all, never a one, would you part. |
