I just have this cat or cats in the neighborhood keep getting in my yard and other people yards and no one keeps these cats leashed or least have a fence keep your animals in.. I like at dogs same as cats and bother me that they rather have dogs sorta lease or up and cats get away coz o' you can't do that to a cat.. My butt it is (PEOPLE) keep your cats leashed some thing and Quit letting room free.. I mean what you guys think coz im tired of it. I hate to do animal cruel to a darn cat so just my though..

My cat doesn't wear collars, he gets them off. Also, have you ever tried keeping a cat in a fence? I don't think that would work too well.

I don't let my cat outside at all. I did have an outdoor cat once, but he got ran over, so never let another one out.

Obviously, Benj aint EVER had a cat.

Seriously...unless they are kept in a cage...a cat will do what ever it wants.

Cats on a leash?...HA! Those things go apesh*t spaztic and freak the hell out....Ask yourself how many times you have seen anyone walking thier cat on a leash?

Cats can climb most anything so fences are out.

Try throwing out some mothballs in the areas where those inconsiderate trespassers intrude on your zen. Or try splashing any cleanser with ammonia on the bricks/ stone/ in areas where they pass through. Must be reapplied occasional but it does work.

Back when I did lawn service, had a guy use cayenne pepper all along his flowerbeds and walkways.....sound in theory...it burns thier eyes and nose....it wil also f*k up the poor sucker who has to run a mower or weedeater in the area.

Dude, animals roam...it is thier naure and believe it or not, they have no concept of "your property"

Just like birds don't schitt on your car...they just gotta schitt...your car happens to be below them.

Just go around your yard and pee on everything in sight.
That way the cats will think there is a really big mean cat around
and will avoid the area.

Or you'll end up in jail for peeing all over your yard and you won't have to worry about any stray cats coming into your cell.

You may have to worry about your roommate big bubba.
But it's better than having to put up with a bunch of stray cats.

to be honest, although Im no fan of cats, I think the idea of leashing a dog is for the PROTECTION of others,,,and there is little to protectd others from regarding cats

whatever damage they do will be only to property which can be settled easily in a civil court with the owners, who can and should be held responsibe in such cases

I don't have a dog yet

That's very true...get a dog and see how fast a cat will flee, and stay away, from your yard happy

That's great Krup! loved it...all of it. And so very true. Animals don't have any concept of "your property". And the mothballs and cayenne pepper does work...even with dogs digging holes...been there, done that! laugh

Although I am a cat lover, mine is an indoor cat.. The neighbors cats would come to my house and potty in my flower garden.. The moth balls work very well...and they last a while too...

She was a sweetie, never had puppies and she grew up around cats, so they were like her kids, she had that motherly instinct. She was very smart and very well trained too.

I had a cat problem too but called the city as cats here need to be licensed; had it trapped and brought it to the pound. If no one claimed it in 30 days; its put to sleep or the owener pays a hugh fine. So get yourself a cat cage and get rid of it. I get tired of the darn things diggin up my yard too. You can plant some geraniums, rue, petunias, lavender, grown thorny plants, get an electric fence, put things like egg shells and coffee grounds in your yard. I also put in chicken wire all through my garden as well as an automatic sprinkler system to spray them down. I am putting in some lily of the valleys this year and putting out notices to my neighbors that these flowers will kill your cats so consider yourselves warned and keep your cats in your yard. I haven't had many problems with cats since they passed the license law though.

That's very considerate of you to warn your neighbors. I don't think many people do that anymore.

At least I am warning my neighbors about the flowers and if that makes me b!tch so be it. At least I am not like others in my neighborhood that have put rat poison in cat food to kill the cats.

I dont care what other low things people have done...

that doesnt excuse you.

I will never speak to you again Navy....

which sux cause I liked you.

The best you can hope for is to not get reincarnated as a neighbors cat.

Cause you would take a life that inconveniences you...

that says everything.

Whatever. I could care less what you think of me or if you talk to me. I like those flowers and they are going in my yard. Cats are not supposed to be out running around as its the law. Just like people telling me weed killer is bad for pets; then keep your pets out of my yard. Pet owners need to be responsible for their pets.

I don't mind a cat going through my yard but when did it become their right to use my place as their toilet.
Pellet gun, sling shot, a dish of anti freeze is just not right, but a strategically placed tin of cat food
with EXlax mixed in might send a message home.....jezzus boots what did you get into !
I have also found that were there is a layer of pine cones and or a layer of pine needles a cat will not dig.
To keep a cat in it's own yard put it in a harness not a collar

As much as I love cats. Your property is your property, and you can do whatever you please with your property. If someones poor cat is killed because they eat a poisonous plant that you planted in your yard, that's the irresponsible owners fault, not yours, especially if you take the time and consideration to give out a notice that you will be planting flowers that could harm them.
