How about this problem?
Okay you attract people, flirting is easy but you get bored, easily distracted, and just plain turned off by the people that refuse to take a hint Are you sure you know what you want are your standards too high or too low? Do you spend too much time focused around one particular area of your life? Are you happy with you? Can you shrug off break ups or does it feel like the world is ending? |

My ideal relationship is one where I have freedom, the thought of a confining relationship just isn't for me.
As for the up and down question, I am bi-polar, so when I'm not on my medication, if I have a bad day, I just loose it, and when I'm manic I'm entirely too happy (which is real, don't let anyone fool you), and I'm fill of energy and start too many projects, and soon I'm swamped! Sometimes I'm alright with me, but sometimes I look in the mirror and I'm just unhappy with me. I like my personality, I love to be kind, and I never try to change people, since it's not my place. Standards, well. It depends on the personality. |

How about this problem? Okay you attract people, flirting is easy but you get bored, easily distracted, and just plain turned off by the people that refuse to take a hint I never did really get the whole flirting thing (I'm oblivious to it, if/when it happens), but I do historically tend to get bored in relationships rather quickly. Part of that is because I've had a tendency to get involved with one-dimensional people, part of it is because they tend to be dishonest about what they want out of the relationship. Are you sure you know what you want are your standards too high or too low? I know what I want; and perhaps that IS too high of a standard because, apparently, what I want doesn't exist. Do you spend too much time focused around one particular area of your life? Yes. Are you happy with you? For the most part. I am not particularly happy with my environment, but I'll do something about that when the opportunity arises. Can you shrug off break ups or does it feel like the world is ending? I go into relationships expecting, and sometimes even planning for, a breakup. I know, going in, that there is going to be a point where I want nothing more than to get out of the entanglement. You might ask: Then, why bother? I can't really answer that. I don't particularly want to be alone for the rest of my life, but haven't found anyone who was ultimately more appealing than being alone. |

How about this problem? Okay you attract people, flirting is easy but you get bored, easily distracted, and just plain turned off by the people that refuse to take a hint It happens, but it's usually mutual. Also, I'm a little clueless, and it takes a while for me to figure out that someone is actually into me. Haha, that may be some of the problem. Are you sure you know what you want are your standards too high or too low? My standards are where they need to be, I believe. Do you spend too much time focused around one particular area of your life? No, I don't think so. Are you happy with you? Yes, 90% of the time. Can you shrug off break ups or does it feel like the world is ending? It's hard at first, but yeah...I'm able to shrug off a break up. |

I count 5...where are the rest of the questions?? I thought it was just a reference to Alanis' "21 Things I Want In A Lover." When I think about that song and actually try to make a list of the qualities I look for in potential partners, I keep ending up with the list of the qualities I'd like for other people to see in me. Which means that I instinctively end up looking for someone a bit like myself. Unfortunately, experience has taught me that the things that I think I want and the things that are actually best for me or that I actually need in any given situation, more often than not end up being two very different things. |
